  At what point do I start to panic that something’s wrong with Merry’s gut?  She was at the vet last week and everything was fine, but last night she ate 1/2 her dinner (greens & pellets), a bunch of hay (new organic orchard grass from bb and a wee bit of the love grass that was in the free sample).  She didn’t finish her dinner (not unusual) but she DID refuse her papaya pills!  I gave her some simethicone, tried to give her a belly rub (she ran away), cleaned the litter box so I could track her poop, and went to bed.
  
  This morning the food and the papaya pills weren’t eaten – but after she seemed interested in new pellets and some greens.  After a little while she did poop, but they were very small.  Watching her on the cam, she’s eaten a few more pellets but doesn’t seem to have touched any more salad.  She appears to be sleeping in her mini haven (not unusual) but I can’t tell if she’s all hunched up or not.
  
  Now I know it’s only noon, and sometimes she doesn’t finish breakfast until 3… but at this point should I give the vet a call, or wait to see how she does tonight?

  uh oh! Poor Merry! ((HUGS)) I dont think it would hurt to give the vet a call to see what they have to say and to let them know you might be coming in. I hope She is ok and is just trying to give her slave gray hair! lol Let us know how she is doing!

  that little rascal! I think she knew I had the cam on her – because in the time it took to get home from work, she ate AND pooped! She is just torturing her slave. “If you’re gonna watch me, I’m gonna make you suffer.” Silly wabbit.

  That’s a relief. I felt that it wasn’t sufficient time to be worried. They can decide they are just not in the mood for regular foods, like her papaya tablet, that day. And also can be very sneaky and fill up on some hay before you feed them, then seem like they’re not eating. Your results by the end of the day are quite normal. I have seen Sammy’s breakfast sitting there, and yet she begs for a treat. Just being finicky.
