So I guess the good news recently is Rupert and Kahlua had a vet appoitnment and my vet was pscyhed about them…their health, their teeth, clean eyes, clean ears, heads on strait…oh my gosh what a relief. It was nice too to be able to trance them for an underneath exam…I could probably have tranced Chuck and Noot-but they were old gentleman and I never did at the vet. She was so happy to have such an easy exam with good results!
What was suprising? Rupert is almost three times the size of Kahlua!!! 2.96 times her weight to be exact! She’s a tiny fart at 1.21 kg and he’s a 6 or 7. something dude.(can’t remember exactly now…) Not svelt, but not obese, and good muscles considering
And Mandy’s surgery (TECA BO) went incredibly well, incredibly well. No (knock on wood) side effects, besides the funny hair cut, which is not her first
Incredible. There are some blessings.
I felt like I might curse it if I even chatted about her surgery before hand. A teca bo is really risky, while it’s a successful surgery, it has a ton of complications. Being a 12 year old husky with cancer….well not he best dog going in. Have a tooth abscess, pain and weight loss prior…even better…Oh and the years of prendisone. I had time off work over the holidays and was able to attend her specialist consultation. At the end of it I felt better-hoped my parents would opt for the surgery. He was excited, for her breed and age alone she shouldn’t be doing so well physically, and yet she was. It was still scary to be on the pro-surgery team. To be a part of that decision which could end badly. But the goober did fine. In fact, they usually stay there for three nights, but they phoned my parents that night saying she’d been yodel’ing for hours and had to go home ROFL -yup that’s my indignant husky goober
She’s doing great and leaving for Texas on vacation on Thursday
So glad
