So I’ve been trying to bond Griffen and Hutch on bathtub dates for about 1 month.  Things seemed to be getting worse as Hutch was getting more aggresive each time.  I decided to let them out in their room together and see what happened.  To my amazement they were almost fine with eachother!!  They ignored eachother, groomed themselves, ate veggiepuffs, and sniffed eachother.  Griffen now chases Hutch in circles and she does NOT like it.  She isn’t aggressive towards him but just hops back in her cage to rest.    .  Any tips?

Have you tried putting them in a large neutral room together? It sounds like they might have a problem with small spaces.

From what I’ve read, chasing seems to be normal for bunnies who are establishing who’s the dominant bunny. If the rabbit being chased shoows any signs of not liking it, just try to stop the chaser for a few minutes.

Some rabbits need larger space for bonding so they can run. You just go by trial and error, if yours do better in a room, this is obviously the way to go for them. Does not mean the bathtub is ‘bad for buns’.

Yay! I love bunny love stories!! They may always chase each other too. My pair has been bonded for about 7 months now and every morning Leo chases Arduina around when I come in the room to give them pellets. I also still do see humping.. courtesy of both of them.
