Sunday morning, I woke up to a funny rustling sound coming from the bathroom…turns out Peppy had sprung her cage overnight, found the value-pack of toilet paper sitting in the bathroom, and was having a ball ripping it apart
. This definitely isn’t the first time she’s escaped overnight; the thing that worries me the most about her running around unsupervised is that she’s a little carpet-eating monster. How does everyone close the door of the NIC condos? It’s been a good two months since I built it, but haven’t thought of a good way to keep the door closed yet. It seems like a popular idea is binder clips; however, the smaller ones have a pretty weak hold across the two grids (at least compared to persistent bunny teeth), and either a bigger clip or a carabiner would probably work, but both those methods leave the door a little loose, which translates to lots and lots of noise when Peppy is rattling the cage at 8am every morning. Putting her outside the bedroom isn’t an option either, since it’s a shared apartment. Ideas?
