Hi,
It’s possible that she is not well, and it is important that you monitor her behavior closely and be prepared to take her to the vet in the morning.
I actually want you to check her litter pan for poos, and if you go into it knowing she usually objects, how she responds will be a good indicator of whether she’s just feeling low energy or is really ill. If she lets you, or moves very little out of the way, or growls but doesn’t object very much, she’s probably ill. Is she grinding her teeth? That is an indication of pain also.
But if she has normal poos, and is jumpy and feisty and mad at you for going in there near her (in whatever way you usually see her behave when you invade her box) than that is actually a good sign. If she’s just lethargic and won’t move, you may want to call an emergency vet. Keep her drinking, give her hay. The hay will move what’s in her gut, and it’s possible that she will have a big, smelly bowel movement then be suddenly energized again. The next few hours should determine a lot. Also, listen to her belly and see if you hear gurgling, or see her rippling, which could be gas. You can massage her tummy, and if you seem to detect gas, she might take a small dose of simethicone – the kind used for babies.
Keep us posted. You can’t be too worried when a bunny is acting funny – they hide illness until it’s critical.
