  So Ive had marley since last march, and since then she has pretty much always shed. My boyfriend who has owned bunnies before said that it was beacause the weather was getting warmer and that her baby coat was falling out.
  
  well its been like 6 months now and its winter time and she is shedding worse now then summer. It is sooo clumpy i could spend hours brushing her and yet not all the clumps come out and they just re apear within a day!!!!
  
  Ive read before that bunnies can shed all year around so i thoouht nothing of it, except my boyfriend said that it isnt right and that she should really have a thicker coat especially because it is pretty cold in here.
  
  What do i do? Should i take her to the vet? what could cause this?
  
  Also I noticed she does have some really weird fur alonh her back like its really hard to comb through and has some sort of dandruff. And for the past week she has been shaking her head alot.
  
  Are these all connected??

  Headshaking excesively needs to be examined by a vet. What mix is Marley? Is there any lionhead or wool breed in her? If her coat looks thin and dull and she is shaking, take her to the vet, it could be a skin condition.

  As long as she’s inside, it really isn’t “cold” – at least to a bunny. We might consider 60 degrees in a house to be pretty chilly, but to them it’s just a normal day. Since houses are kept at such consistent temperatures compared to outside, bunnies probably shed more based on amount of daylight or something rather than a need for a winter coat. My co-worker has an outdoor bunny and he sheds to his winter coat in October – mine are just shedding now (it’s been cold for months), so obviously they didn’t feel the need for a winter coat.
  
  I do agree though that persistent shedding year round might be a sign of something, especially with the dandruff and if her coat is thinner than normal.

  Lucy sheds what seems like all the time. She has the typical hair loss daily, nothing huge, but she does lose a lot maybe once a month. She has some THICK fur though. I brush her as much as I can, and it takes care of loose hair. It has gotten to the point where I can’t pick her up much though, because even with normal hair loss with her, she still leaves half a bunny on my clothes!! I assume that is normal? Especially since I really don’t know what breed she is, I assumed she was ok. Now I’m getting nervous o.O

  Misspinup, when you pick her up, you will get bunny fur on your clothes. It happens to me too lol. It is a reaction to stress.
  
  Jessi, head shaking is not a good sign at all. My bunny was scratching her ears and shaking her head. You should have that checked out.
