        Hi everyone!

Maybe I’m just paranoid but should I be concerned about this? My bun isn’t as active today (he’s moving, but most of the day he’s just resting on the floor). I thought I heard a few stomach noises, but he’s still eating his bokchoy, pellets, hay, and drinking water. He’s pooping and peeing as well. He already went through G.I. stasis a couple of months ago and though he wasn’t eating/drinking/pooping then, I’m just a bit concerned….

I thought I read that stomach noises could mean that he’s bloated. I have simethicone.. should I administer that? Don’t really want to if it’s not needed.

        Thanks all!

How many pellets are you feeling him? Is he shedding?

I am concerned about the stomach making noises. 😐 I really dont know what to say but I hope he gets better.

thanks. He is shedding, that’s why I’m paranoid as well. I give him about a quarter cup of pellets and he’s been eating most of it all day.

Rule of thumb is if he is eating, drinking, and pooping, so far he’s okay. If he stops eat or pooping, this is when we get concerned and you should take him into the vet if it lasts longer than 12-24 hours. You can give simethicone, although it’s not really certain whether that helps or not.

Dutchess will have days, like today, that she just lays around and doesn’t really play much, and other days where she races around. I’d watch him over a few days and see what happens, he might just be tired or not feel like running and jumping.

Sammy had some very soft stomach noises going on about once a day that I could hear the first few days after I got back from the holiday. No idea what was going on, but he seemed perfectly fine with regards to his eating and pooping, and also was not lethargic and did not seem in pain. Just his usual playful active self.

The inactivity, if abnormal and if it continues, might be worrisome. But like Beka said, if he’s pooping/eating normally and his behavior normalizes, I don’t think it’s something to worry about.
