Okay so I know valentine is still a few weeks away but I’ve been thinking what to give my best friend for valentine’s day. I want something special since we’ve been kinda distant  ever since the whole marriage thing to my boyfriend and I feel really bad cuz i know i havent set aside any time for her so I want to make it up to her and apologize, we’ve been friends for 18 yrs so i want something special. So i decided i want to give her some personalized M&M’s she LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES chocolate so that would be perfect, but i need some ideas as to what to put on them, I dont want to put “i luv u” or “BFF” or the other general sayings u see alot. Can any of you give me some ideas? This is the rule to the personalization:” You can write two lines of up to 9 characters each, spaces included.”  Im also baking her some home made cookies from scratch and making her a card myself, no store bought, i want her to know she’s special to me Oh and if any you guys have any yummy cookie recepies, that would be awesome, I want to avoid store bought cookie dough. I know this is early but the sad part is im not gonna be here for February so she’s gonna recieve all of this through mail hopefully she’ll understand cuz i want my best friend back!

Do you have a mall near you that has this store?
          http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Home_10001_9951_-1

The store has wonderful gifts, are very heartfelt and reasonably priced. You can customize gifts as well. I have bought my boyfriend several things off of there and he ADORES ’em In return, he got me a jewelry box with 2 doves and my name in the inside of it.

I love your idea about the MMS, since it is her favorite, she will love ’em.

I have looked up some friendship quotes online..

My brain is kind of fried from packing, excuse me

Aw Moz, I’m sure she’ll understand. It’s a testament to your kindness that you want to make this so special for her!

Maybe you could say something about how, no matter what happens or how much time passes, you’ll always be her best friend. You can always pick up where you left off, whatever life throws at you.

Oh yeah Brittany we have one of those here! Actually I already did get her something from there, great minds think alike, lol!! I got her a sterling silver keepsake box and engraved it with some lyrics of a song, this is what I had engraved in it “You think i’ll leave you side baby, you know me better then that, you think ill leave you when your down on your knees, I wouldnt do that….. oh when your cold i’ll be there, hold you tight to me” i know its a love song but, these are perfect words even for a friend. Oh and inside of the box I put a white gold friendship promise ring that has her birthstone and mine. Im just not sure what to put on the M&M’s though….

for a cookie recipe, for someone that loves chocolate, I’d go with:
                http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Chocolate-Chip-Cookies-II/Detail.aspx

I use that recipe when I make cookies. You can vary it by adding in things like M&Ms, white chocolate chips, toffee pieces etc.
