I just discovered what feels like a tiny bump on Merry’s head.  When I touched it she just sat there, no pain or anything – she’s shedding pretty heavily right now, is it possible that it’s a knot?  I tried to move the fur away but I can’t see anything.  It’s tiny and feels kind of like a pimple.

Anyone else ever deal with this?  Is this a vet thing?

Where on her head out of interest?

They can get little bits of dry skin attached to fur that’s due to shed. Could it be something like that maybe? I find lumps on my rabbits cheeks sometimes and it turns out it’s the whisker bed.

It’s literally on the very top of her head, right in the middle. I’ve been spending so much time petting her behind (she likes that better) that I haven’t been petting her head so much – so I don’t even know if it’s new. :/

Bisto has a bump in the exact same place, always has. I think it’s part of their skull.  I don’t think you need worry.

If I were you, I would keep an eye on it just in case and if it changes pop to the vet. Next time you’re there for a visit there you could ask.

thanks grumpybun – It kind of feels like it could be part of her skull, but I don’t think I’ve ever really stroked her head hard enough to feel through to the skull!

It occurred to me afterwards that I’d never felt it on Oxo’s. I’ve done some poking through the fluff and am pleased to report he is with bump
