Lolli loves her new treats!  So much so that she’s driving me nuts with her begging.  LOL But I’m holding out.  And she’s eating her hay and hay cubes pretty good.  Of course once her pellets are gone, she doesn’t have a choice.  She seems a lot happier right now.  Maybe all the food and fruits were making her feel sluggish?  ????   She’s been doing binkies like a mad woman for the past 2 days.     She’s just too cute for words but I’m a bit biased.  lol

Can I find those clickers for training at petsmart or petco?

I know my hubby complains of being sluggish when he’s got more weight on. It’s totally possible for bunnies too. Getting her slimmed down would be a good thing

Glade she’s eating her hay & hay cubes!

So does she not get veggies?

She gets 2 cups of lettuce as well. She’s not a big veggie eater other than lettuce.

                  Awesome!

Yes, you can get clickers at any pet store. I really prefer the type sold on BB because it’s easy to use in different positions – I can hold it and click with a middle finger, while holding treats with my thumb and index finger – doing it this way frees up my other hand to do something else. With traditional clickers, you can really only work them with your thumb.

I realized today that she’s begging because her bowl is empty. So I’ve decided to give her half a 1/4 cup of pellets maybe twice day – when I wake up and then when I go to bed. So when it’s gone during the day, it’s gone until I decide to go to bed which lately has been about 4am.

I will be trying to give her even less pellets as she seems content as long as there’s something in the bowl. I just got up and she ran out to start begging. As soon as I put some pellets in her bowl, she was fine and is now sleeping. I don’t think she touched the pellets. lol I’ll just have to keep doing adjustments on the pellets.

Why don’t you just give her pets instead of pellets. It sounds like she has you trained :~)

Of course she does! LOL I do that….start trying to give her nose pets when I’m done giving her treats and she’s still begging. Of course, she’d rather have food than pets and is all NO TOUCHING. lol

I just thought if I kept a few pellets in her bowl, then she wouldn’t beg as much. I’m sure she thinks she’s gonna starve to death cause not only has her pellets been reduced, so has her lettuce. lol

Don’t give in to the begging. It really isn’t helping her any.

Why did you reduce the lettuce? I think reducing the pellets is plenty.

Our bunny is an expert beggar. If he is not sleeping, whenever he sees us he either chews on the bars of his home or is on his hind legs begging. In addition to hay and greens he gets about 1/8th cup of pellets. We give him most of the pellets at night, but we hold back enough pellets so that when he begs we can give him a few pellets several times during the day if we are home. This seems to make him happy and at the same time does not increase his daily pellet intake.

I reduced the lettuce cause I wasn’t sure what was causing the poopy butt. Plus, she wasn’t eating all of it.
