We advocate rabbits being indoors where they can be a part of the family. Millo deserves to spend the remainder of her life indoors where she is safe and part of the family.

All 3 of mine are indoor bunnies. Indoors is the best place for them! No predators or icky weather or bugs… just nice warm comfiness Definitely bring her in

Smokey is an indoor rabbit. If you can’t make a room like I can’t, get her a big cage or a 2 level condo, it’s what I have for Smokey and she loves it. It’s a shame tat Milo has a blind eye. Tell your parents about fly strike and the risks of predators and her having a weakness with only one working eye. Hopefully they’ll understand and let you take her in!

I recommend you look around at the information pages here and also at rabbit.org, The House Rabbit Society website. If you can, print of some info and present it to your parents to look over.
Good luck! I hope you can bring Miilo inside with you. In the meantime, I’m sure she would benefit from lots of attention from you.

                    In a word: Clean.

When I first got my rabbits my husband didn’t want them in the house. He pictured a huge stinky mess. I changed his mind about rabbits in the house by cleaning the house SPOTLESS in anticiptation of bringing in the rabbits, and by always being one step ahead of the mess. Every morning, whether it needs it or not,  I scoop the litter, sweep the hutch floors, shake out the blankets and vacuum the entire bunny area. Every week I change the litter, clean the litter pans, thoroughly clean the hutch floors and wash their blankets.  I keep a small broom and dust pan in every bunny area and immediately scoop up any poop that may bounce out of the litterbox. Now, he loves having rabbits in the house because the house has never been so clean.
