Because it looks like we may be in the same one.

While taking my three buns to the vet today to have their ears checked, I had to listen to my poor hubby get more and more hoarse and have a terrible time sneezing and coughing. We have a smaller vehicle to drive this winter, and it’s almost brand new, so it can’t be anything in the car. It only happens when he is around the bunnies. He is convinced he is allergic to them.

Now we weren’t really planning on getting any more bunnies when Mimz, Pip & Five have gone, but even if I was this would have sussed me not getting another.

*sniffle* I know you will feel my pain. And yet, there is still a good side because he also has not asked me to give up my bunnies, and still does things for them like drive them 30 miles to the vet in -40 F weather to make sure they are healthy. I think we picked a few good ones, my friend!

A question though…did Stan show any other signs of allergy? Like little bumps on the skin of the arm or aything like that?

oh noes!!! We sure did pick good ones, but it is guilty-making.

I don’t think he ever got hives or anything. Mostly he just coughs and gets asthma-like symptoms. Remy used to sleep next to my feet at night, but now they’re banned from the bedroom and his study. That, most of all, has helped the allergies – separating them from him as much as possible. Also, vacuuming helps and getting a HEPA air filter.

Has he thought about seeing an allergist to get tested? He might be allergic to other things too, like dust, mold, pollen, and other common allergens. If possible, he could get on some medicine that might make him more comfortable.

There’s always room in my boat for you, M !
