He rejects his celery and goes straight for the candle. I don’t know why. My mom’s cat knocked over a candle and it is scented. he has done this before and passed the wax in his stools, but before it was not scented. He ate about a teaspoon off the candle. I can’t find any shavings so I’m sure he swallowed it. I know I need to monitor him for a while, but does anyone have any advice or anything? I’m so worried.  My family thinks I’m being dramatic, but they don’t know anything about rabbits, or taking good care of animals.

I would put him on hay, greens and water only until he passes the wax. I would be more concerned with the wax than with it being scented even though the scent is not a good thing either. If you find him going off his feed — take him to the vet’s. Depending on the amount, it could cause a problem in his GI, but chances are he ate only a small amount and not enough to get ill, but do monitor him.
If your rabbit is prone to eating candles, or other things, he should be confined, especially over the holidays.

Well normally there aren’t candles on the floor. And normally, I don’t have anything around but myself to knock things off of shelves or off the tables. I thought I checked everywhere before it was has turn to be out (dogs have to be put away) but a candle fell under a piece of furniture and he found it. Ugh. >.<

            I’ll do that, thanks.

Tonight I brought him out of his pen to see if he’d run around. He was hiding all day and his tummy was gurgling and hard. He didn’t poop at all either. And then i brought him to the living room, he took of running around me in circles, pooped an average of 3 droppings per second and is playing with me, which is kind of rare. He is chasing me, then running, then chasing! So I think all is good for now. I guess he didn’t poop a lot today because he was sleeping?
