  I was jus grooming my rabbit PJ who is a lionhead lop and ive noticed a small scab on his back right near his neck, does anyone no what this might be caused by and whether i need to take him to the vet?

  Is it a clean scab all healed up? If it’s just the one and it disappears into normal skin soon I’d say it was just a little scratch he had that healed over. If however you find more of these — take him in to the vet’s as it could be a case of parasites.

  Yeah its healed up it looks abit like dry skin i can tell its been bleeding tho. thanks i will keep an eye on him and see if it heals up nicely

  Make sure his nails don’t need a trim. If it is a scratch he gave himself, he may need trimming so he doesn’t get another.

  I trimmed his nails a few days ago so i dont think its a scratch + its more of a round patch :S

  I just found a round patch of red skin on myself so now im freaking out its ringworm. so im off to the doctors tomorrow and pj will be off to the vets
