Poor little Merry had a bad case of gas last night. I was away and didn’t feed her, but my bf said that she totally wolfed down her veggies. I do know that she got more parsley than normal, so I have some questions.
question 1: could too much parsley cause gas?
question 2: how in the world do I administer simethicone? Her foster mom said that’s what she gave her in the past (liquid form), but when I tried Merry absolutely refused to take any! I settled for tummy rubs and heat (body heat mostly, but also a lightly heated towel) and that worked, but she was probably in pain longer than she should have been
queston 3: I ran across this little tidbit :
- spinach, Swiss chard, beet greens, collards, okra, parsley, and leeks are among the most oxlate-dense vegetables
but I didn’t think that parsley was an oxalate-dense vegetable… is this just misinformation? I would hate to think that I’ve been giving her something that might be bad for her!
Thoughts? Advice?
thanks!
