As the new year is getting closer, I think we should say our final goodbyes to those bunnies who will not enter the new year with us.
Post a picture and perhaps a few words of the bunny(ies) you lost this year as a final tribute.
I hope you are up for it. I think it would be nice with a remembrance thread with pictures of each bunny.
Jack was put to sleep on April 16 due to leukemia. He was one of a kind, and was my special little boy who loved nothing else than snuggle and sleep on my chest. Jack didn’t make it to his 6th birthday.
That’s a sweet idea.

So many this year for me and I hope no more either. Pictured are Pepe, Maxine, Giselle, and Emmy.
Hugo was a joy to have in my life. Even if it was only for 6 weeks. He was definitely one of a kind. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. I miss him dearly.

What a lovely post. Condolences to everyone. Sarita, I didn’t realize all of your losses were in this year alone? It’s been terrible for you. You really have been wonderful hanging in here with everyone while going through all of it at home.
I love that picture of Pepe burrowing in the cornucopia of greens.
My Mops died in August of this year.
I adopted him as a kit from Calgary, but I only met him after I already adopted him. Calgary is a far drive from me so the adoptions clerk was kind enough to drive Mops all the way up to Edmonton for me to get him from there. I remember opening his carrier to see a long grey thing with shaggy hair. He looked like a fantasy creature. He always loved to dig, shred and push things and he loved to groom my other rabbits. He was Deirdra’s favorite friend.

Holy Crap Petzy! I’ve been so out of touch with the forum. I’m so, so, so sorry.
I lost Tammo in August of this year; he was my first bunny and taught me how absolutely special these little critters are. Tammo had terrible seizures throughout his life that no one could diagnose, but was such a chill little guy who loved nothing more than giving and receiving plenty of love, and didn’t even mind being picked up and held. Rest in peace Tammo, no more pain.
Pic #1: Tammo shortly after we adopted him
Pic #2: He looks like an innocent little bun posing all proper for a photo…until you notice the leaf in his mouth!

My condolences to everyone.
Sarita I don’t know where I have been but I had no idea you lost so many loves…I am deeply sorry.
My gang and I send hugs to you all, bink well bunnies over the bridge.
Tammo was just beautiful. ![]()
awww such a sweet tribute thread. great idea karla
hugs to everyone who lost a bun this year
This year has been a sad one for our little family.
My first bunny loss this year was a bunny I rescued from a terrible neglect situation, his name was Pickles. After a infected eye, a terrible job removing it from an unexperianced Vet, Pickles just wasn’t strong enough. I’m sharing a picture of him before all that, when he was healthy and happy ![]()

On May 18th my ‘heart’ bunny Bo was rushed to the Vet after another relapse of what we thought was a blockage. Bo passed away as his Daddy rushed him through the doors of the Vet office. Bo died of an softball sized abcess on his Kindney he was 7 years old. This is a loss that is still hard for me to accept.
This was the day Bo came to me…

Bo bonds to his girlfriend Aniseed, The first bunny he meets in 3.5 after living in a outdoor hutch all by himself.

Bo plays with his ‘other girlfriend’ Whizz ![]()

& Mom’s favorite, snuggling with her boy as they nap on the couch ![]()

Bo passed away in May, then Whizzer in July. Two very special members of our family.

Bo was such a beautiful rabbit. Love the photo of your dog next to him, both were just awesome!
Noot & I lost Chuck this year. After a long battle with head tilt, and a recovery Chuck relapsed and didn’t respond to treatment. We decided that with no hope of recovery, being blind and deaf and uncomfortable was too much. Through it all he was such a trooper-gently taking his medication without complaint and sometimes with zest, eating and snuggling with his special love and best friend, Noot. I had Chuck cremated and he’s in a beautiful urn, at home again.

I’m sad
Everybunny was beautiful!
I do not know how it feels.. I can’t find myself to think of how my life would be without Chacha. I know that time will come one day, but I hope not anytime in the close future.
Stormy passed away just after I left for college this year, in September. He wasn’t even three.
HJ and I got him from a tiny petstore in Hampton as a birthday gift for my mom, who claimed she wanted another rabbit. That was back in spring of 2008.
Soon, however, he became mine. He turned into a cuddle bug towards me.
I went back to my parents’ house recently. It doesn’t feel the same, walking down into the basement and not hearing him springing around in his cage.
So many beautiful bunnies we lost this year. I was here through it all and I’m so glad I got to know them all…even if never in person. Every Binky Bunny bun has a place in my heart.
The Bridge certainly has a lot of special, beautiful angels.
