I wanted to order some litter box screens today because every thing is 10% off. But last time i ordered them they were to small! I don’t know what size to get! last time I got 2 small screens and had to put two in one box. is the large twice the size as the small? or should i get the medium?

pics and length of my boxes coming soon.

Can you just measure your box and compare to the measurements BB provides? Make sure you measure inside the box where the screen would sit, rather than the outside measurements.

when I keep up with it the boxes stay really clean! the only thing I don’t like is when the rubber around the screen got wet ( when I cleaned it) It smelled horrible! the worst smell ever! it was like vinegar/water/poo. yuck! does that smell ever go away?

I haven’t used the screens here so I don’t know. Another option might be to get some kind of replacement screen material at a hardware store. Should work the same way.

I’m going to need to buy some Kahlua has recently decided this is a fun game. Years of not doing it and now she’s up to emptying all four litter boxes within two days….

I never noticed that smell with the rubber on my grid … interesting.

I actually did go and buy replacement screen at the hardware store (for reference, it’s in the garden department – took me 45 min and three employees to figure that one out). Anyway, I had a square litter box and figured I’d make my own screen – it’s quite a pain! After cutting each piece of wire with wire cutters, we had to use a dremel to make the edges smooth. Definitely a painful project.

Funniest part was DH suggested we make them a specific size and they ended up being too big anyway. One did fit, but we’ve never gone back to cut down the others because it was so much work.

I think it smells because it is new. (like new rubber smell) because I cleaned them again yesterday and it wasn’t as strong.
