I had to cancel my and my daughters’ doctor appointments today and tomorrow for this. It’s been RAINING all day and all our snow is coming off our roof. I can hardly walk Jenna down the street, it’s like an ice rink out there.
Last time it was this bad I fell in Taiku’s dog yard and almost gave myself a concussion. The kids were itty-bitty then and didn’t even know I’d been out for a few minutes. When I came to the dog was just looking at me with his tongue hanging out as if to say, “Dummie…it slippury out dere!”
30 miles to town may as well be 1000 with conditions like this. I am not even sure my son will be able to drive out for turkey day.
Heck, I don’t even have my fixings yet, so it’s probably going to be a macaroni and cheese year anyway!DTV is completely out. I have to hope the power stays on. Or at least my AM radio so I can get updates.

I actually am very fond of Georgia O’Keefe. That’s a gorgeous print. Yeah, we’ve got some colder weather coming. Jenna and I are about of the same mind on that as the wet messy stuff we’ve been dealing with lately. The hub is going in first thing tomorrow to try to pick up supplies (I’m almost out of Yesterday’s News! AAAAAHHHH!!!) and the son. He’s probably only going to be able to crawl down the hot springs road with our current conditions. Can I ask for everyone to keep a good thought for him as he drives in this mush?
What’s worse than wondering how to have a nice holiday is the fear that, God forbid something go wrong with the animals. I don’t know how we’d get them to the vet. >.<
I really need to move closer to town. This out in the boonies thing is getting old. *sigh*Anyway, it was really strange seeing freeze up, break up and freeze up in a matter of a week and a half. lol. Apparently this is the wettest November on record, not just for us, but the whole state.
And I understand it’s been crossing down into the 48 too…sorry guys! I didn’t do it! *waves white flag*
