lmao! Ahhh haypoop. Mimzy is learning the joys of it. >.< In fact he's been darn near hysterical about leaving haypoop lately.
I love the ears! Looks like it’s about…20 minutes to 2:00?

And wow, Frankie looks….resplendent! xD lol…I mean, there is a nice rounded bunloaf in that picture. I take it he’s in excellent health and yet has not been eating any holiday treats?

He is so adorable. I just love his colors. Seeing a pic of him always makes me smile.

Haha, he tends to still be able to be expressive with his floppy ear somehow.

I really need to clean his haypoop mess… he gets obsessed with pulling the hay out of his box during the night and making a big mess, then waking me up for me to put more hay into the box to add to the pile that he “contaminated”. Then he spends all the following day picking around it. Sigh. I give into his begging in the middle of the night so he’ll let me sleep (the “give me hay” gesture is a fake carpet dig… he has different ways of noisemaking/gesturing with different meanings that I understand at this point). Waste of hay, but I’m a sucker.

Frankie is doing quite well. He hasn’t been having any e.c/balance. issues at all, which I am more than thankful for. Excited over any rustle of possible food and has surprisingly not eaten anything odd lately (though he did run off dragging an entire box of cereal with his mouth the other day… managed to put his face inside of the box THROUGH the closed flap).

He has also been jumping into my bed a lot lately (sometimes without me noticing if I’m asleep). Sometimes I wake up and straighten my leg into a rabbit that I had no idea was laying by my feet. He’s got his spot right at the end of the bed, directly in the line of my portable fan/AC unit. Brat.

              Ha! I get the same thing from Mimzy, somewhere between the hours of 4-8 in the A.M. (Of course, I’ve only just gotten to sleep about then…grrrr.) Only he lifts his litter box up and starts slamming it into the hard floor of his habitat, which of course makes a noise not even the dead could sleep through. 0_o;;

What IS it with the pooping in the hay thing lately with these (boy) bunnies? I’m used to catching Mimz doing it all the time, but now it seems Pip has decided to do it too. She doesn’t make near the mess that he does, but still….

Sorry, I’d forgotten that he’d had e.c. So good to hear nothing else has happened in that area. A whole cereal box, huh? What kind was it? (I’m guessing nothing healthy like 100% All Bran.)

I am so glad my buns don’t have free range of my room…not only would they now have to contend with Jenna, but I’d have so many holes, pee spots and stray poos all over my bed, I’d have to leave the whole thing to them and sleep on the couch! >.<

He passed his weird food obsession over to my Dennis! Just in the past week it has been some of a granola bar (wrapper included), candy wrapper, rice krispie treat (wrapper included), chewed bubble gum out of the trash! Frankie always makes me smile! Those ears too!

Oh gosh, that reminds me…scared the heck out of myself one morning when I’d had to get up early to give Mimzy his “hush hay” and just tumbled back into bed….woke up at my usual time, about 4 hours later, and the door to his night pen was standing wide open…and there are snacks (mine and his) RIGHT there that he could’ve gotten into…but surprisingly it appeared that nothing was touched! He also could’ve easily gone for a romp around the house, but he stayed put.
                  I was so relieved!
Bunnies and chewing gum…that one gets me every time! Can you imagine them blowing bubbles?

mrmac – sounds like they both have sweet tooth! It’s a good thing I don’t chew gum, because Frankie knocks down any small trash can he finds to dig for morsels. I can’t throw anything that even smells like food into my trash can in my room! I also make guests put their purses in certain places so they won’t get looted by him.

mimz – I’m lucky that Frankie never goes potty anywhere but in his litterbox (and his surrounding haymess apparently, hehe). The only time he’s ever left anything in my bed was a day he was in pain and didn’t bother moving to go, and I definitely couldn’t be mad then.

Yes, it was one of those tiny trash cans that sits next to our couch. The other day Dexter stole a Jolly Rancher grape candya dn started munching away! They just cannot help themselves!

The damage done to the granola bar that he climbed onto my nightstand and stole…

If I found something like that, I’d so be on the way to the vet with the bun in question at warp speed.

Yeah, I think Mimzy’s latest poo wars are mostly because the dog has taken to sleeping in the room with us. And you can imagine how that must hack him off. He just doesn’t like the scent of her, apparently. She can’t reach him so she’s no threat, but I think he’s a little jealous.

I’m lucky I have any room on the bed at all between bunnies’ night habitats, a Yorkie with separation anxiety and whichever of the two cats decide they want to nudge me off the mattress today.

I also don’t leave anything tempting in my garbage can. I sleep pretty sound when I do get there and I know Jenna tends to wander the house at night when it’s time for a drink of water. I don’t need her swallowing an old wad of gum…heck I got nervous enough as a kid when I did it!

I watched him SUPER closely. I was ready to go if he started acting weird, but he didn’t!

I usually carry granola bars in my purse and such… that said, Frankie has sampled many flavors of them. At this point, I never really stress if it’s just human food he ate some of… I worry if it’s something foam/plastic or medicine-related. I keep having to shoo him off our dining room table because of an artificial flower bouquet he seems intent on snacking on >_<

Yes, I agree it isn’t so much the food part, but the plastic and packaging that I worry about. Maybe it is just a San Diego bun thing?!
