Another dumb question! Babs loves playing with and chewing on cardboard boxes (the brown corragated stuff) but I noticed she actually EATS it and doesn’t just chew on it! Will this do her any harm? I’m sorry if I’m sounding paranoid lol I’ve taken it all off her till I get some advice from you guys. Thanks again x

I sure hope not, because cardboard has been a dietary staple in our house for years now…

They make it look so good that I’m thinking of trying a piece with my coffee today.

Oh man, you should see our apartment…

Cardboard tubes, cardboard boxes, cardboard tunnels. Delicious and delightful.

One thing that you might watch out for is colored boxes (like this). Not all of them use dyes that are OK for bunnies to eat. Also, make sure that you take the all of glue and staples out of the boxes you give her.

Plain cardboard boxes are fine, though.

My rabbit vet actually told me that cardboard was great to help keep Merry’s teeth.

She never gets anything with colour on it and I take off tape etc before she gets it

Totally agreed. Plain cardboard for sure is fine, and they do eat it And yeah-I think it’s likely good for their teeth as well

Little diva here likes to move her cardboard all over the place, standing way up tall to throw it somewhere or move it. She likes ripping and tearing and digging on it too. Last night she threw it on to the tile, and looked at me, because she won’t go on tile, so then I had to get up and go give it back to her because she just stared at me until I did!
