I found the two links to the blog and Sherlock’s website also. So cool to do that.
I had a feeling when the DVD was going on sale as “Season One”. That implies there will be a Season Two. (Deductive reasoning, you know.)
I LOVED the third episode. More than the second. It usually depends on how much you like the story it’s based on. Five orange pips was a good story I absolutely don’t remember in detail. They brushed by a reference to Irene Adler, (letter from Bohemia, a woman’s writing) so there’s more to come I’m sure about “THE Woman”. (Read A Scandal in Bohemia. She ties in to Moriarty, but I won’t give it away.) There are enough stories to last several years worth of scripts, so I guess if it’s popular in Britain, there is hope of much more.
MM, Holmes was frequently firing his gun at the walls of Baker Street out of boredom. He originally shot the initials V R, for Queen Victoria Regina. They changed it to a smiley face. I liked the bit where he was too engrossed to take his phone out of his own pocket. He also used to smoke during a “3-pipe problem” which they made a “3 patch problem.” And the risk of finding cocaine in the flat was very true to the books. He would shoot up when bored also. He also frequented opium dens, though usually on a job, so that may come up too.
See? You got me started. If you want a fun time by the fire this winter, I would urge you to get a nice copy of “The Complete Sherlock Holmes” and pick a story. Any story. The early ones are better though. Try the Hound of the Baskervilles for a short novel.
