Oooo I’m trying not to think about it! Hehe! Luckily I haven’t many humans to buy for but my bestest friend has horses dogs a bird and BUNNIES so they all get individual pressies. Any one who asks me what I want I’ve just been saying “toys for Babs please” and I’ve requested 2get me some hay please” LOL as if the room doesnt look like a stable as it is!

I am having surgery on my spine Dec 3rd. Otherwise me and Lolli have just been hanging out around home. I don’t even want to think about Christmas cause I don’t have much money. lol

I don’t have much money either and we HAVE to buy new tunnels because Gracie has been working on the tunnel for some time and it’s pretty much destroyed.
I finally got a job! YAY! I applied to it a few weeks ago and they called back saying they hired someone else but they weren’t sure if it would work out or not (she had insurance through them or something; I don’t know the whole situtation) but the guy felt bad and said that if something opened up I would be called first and he really wanted to hire me. So a few days ago I get a call and the girl didn’t work out woohoo! I went in today to fill out some papers and got a crash course on the computer program (it’s an insurance company). It was a little over whelming but I think I’ll get the hang of it after awhile. I even dealt with a customer paying his car insurance and he was really nice to me. I would hate to work somewhere where you HAVE to get stuff right away because customers don’t have patience for new people…I get nervous if I’m rushed. It’s only 2 days out of the week but hey it’s something and it’s right down the street from the realty that I plan on working so it all works out! We really need the extra money too. Gracie is still having peeing issues and I want to get an x-ray done or something but it’s just so much. So I’ll be saving up for that.

Mehhh… back surgery. I feel for you. What part of your back? I’ve had 4 surgeries with 5 years; one being a fusion. It was an accident at work. I herniated 2 discs and ruptured a 3rd. L3/4, L4/5, and S1. Being at work it fell under workers comp. That was a nightmare. I ended up going to court. It’s a long story but the short of it is that the rupture pressed against my nerves for too long and it left me with permanent paralysis to the front muscles of my left leg, from my knee down. Now I have to wear a brace because I can’t hold my foot up when I walk (called Foot Drop).

I have spinal stenosis and the arthritis is pressing on nerves in the L4/5 so I’m having surgery to have that removed to see if it will help with the nerves. I have lower back pain and if I sit in chairs for more than an hour, I get an uncomfortable feeling down my left leg. The uncomfortable sensation will get so bad the longer I sit that I just want to cry and crawl out of my skin. So hopefully the surgery will correct that. Otherwise I’m screwed cause that’s why I can’t work. lol

my dad has gout too! Weird how it can be controlled through diet… I don’t remember the diet but it’s weird and my dad can’t stick to it… so he has gout lol.

Brittany; where in Washington do you live? I grew up in Vancouver and my family is from Kelso Longview area. I graduated from Fort Vancouver High School in 2005, and always lived off 4th plain some where (if you know where that is haha).

Yup I am my own worst critic   I’m feel so much better that I found a job!  I wish I could get either more money or hours (or win the lottery) but I’m fine with it.  I couldn’t believe the other girl wanted more hours…you’re lucky to even find a job around here.  I’m glad it’s not going to be a really stressful job either.  I just got back from the doctors and talked to her about maybe starting a family next year.  I’m super nervous/anxious about it….I don’t know if I could handle something like that   But we shall see what happens next year.  I just want to enjoy right now.  

I start my last class next weekend yay!  Then I’ll have to study for the BIG test yikes!!

Maybe we all have back problems from chasing these crazy bunnies around

@ Mr Bill, was your foot drop caused by the accident or the resulting pressure, only asking as I have the same without the footdrop but due to a bad horse fall. I was advised to avoid surgery like the plague. And I’m familar with footdrop as my dad had a massive stroke almost 12 years ago doing yoga and was left half paralyzed with foot drop, he passed just this August )-:, but had been having much success with a device called WalkAide, which fits around your calf and electro-shocks the nerve cause the foot to lift. It was actually really cool and allowed my dad to walk without his afo.

Best of luck on your back surgery though. It’s funny how much your back can affect your life.

lol have we all got bad backs in common as well as being bunny slaves?! I’m housebound because of various lower back injuries over the years and I cant stand on my feet for longer than 5 mins without being in pain and having to sit down I’ve had all the surgeries they’re prepared to do over here) but I can get around and I do spend 24/7 with Babs so thats a bonus! I absolutely ADORE reading about what you guys are up to it sounds so exotic and exciting as opposed to here. Tonight in England it’s Guy Fawkes night. Don’t know if you all heard of it it’s the anniversary of Guy Fawkes attempt to blow up parliament in the 1600’s. Bonfires and LOADS of fireworks. I wasnt sure how the bangs would affect Babs but she seems to be taking them in her stride as she does everything else bless her!

I know exactly what you mean by pain running down your leg. Any little bump, jar, twist, ect. that affected my back what so ever sent unbearable pain down my leg. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. All the surgeries I had were just for dealing with the leg pain (the compressed nerve). I still have chronic back pain and my doctors say I’ll probably have it for the rest of my life. But the back pain is way different than the leg pain was. The back pain is more like a constant steady stiff, aching, throbbing pain. The leg pain was more like something out of a torture scene from some horror movie.

The foot drop resulted from the nerve damage. The compressed nerve left me with no feeling, horrible leg pain, and no muscle control. The extended compression resulted in permanent nerve damage. The surgery took care of the pain but because the nerve was compressed for so long it’ll never regenerate (repair) itself. So I’m left with no feeling and no muscle control.

I’ve heard that the bigger the colony, the more self-sufficient they become. So if you get 2-3 more then think just how easy caring for them would be.

Congrats on the job by the way. I read where you were upset because of the last vet visit and how expensive it was.

We’ve been in our new house for a year now. One of the main necessities when we were looking was that the house needs a lot of space for the buns. We found this place with a finished basement. Well, not finished to our liking, but finished so as the buns can have it. It’s cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I’m also a stay at home dad for the buns, so I get to spend all day with them.

We have the 4 buns now, but I actually have considered more. Especially when seeing some of those sad Craigslist ads. We could make the space. But the babies enjoy having room to run and I’d feel bad taking that away from them.

Thanks Mr. Bill!  I am feeling so much better about myself; I’m even feeling a little more confident.    That is one great setup!  Do the bunnies exercise with you guys?  

LOL that’s all I need is more bunnies!  I just gave Gracie a bath yesterday, she was covered with urine and smelled.  Got her all cleaned up and guess what happened today…she peed all over herself again!!    I don’t even know where she peed because she’ll sit in it until it’s all soaked up….I don’t understand.  I emailed the vet about how much x-rays will be but she’s out until Monday and they’ll call me back then with an answer.  I love Gracie to death though.  If she was still with her previous owner I’m sure she wouldn’t have survived.

It all started with $10.

That being the price to adopt our first bun Trixie (my avatar) from our local Human Society. We never knew that such a small animal could show SOOO much love towards people. She was a lap bun. She wouldn’t stay off you. And she was spoiled, having the run of the house. But her life was cut short because we were under-educated about rabbits. She passed at the age of 4 1/2 from a tumor.

Because of her, my wife and I will always have buns in our lives now.

dealing with stupid people at work today..lol this lady comes into to book her dogs in for a stay..then she started yelling at me that the last time they stayed 2 of them got kennel cough and she spent like $200 to fix them, and complaining that how come if HER dogs are vaccinated with the bordatella shot, how come we dont require it of EVEYONE, thats not fair that she had to pay $200 to fix them last time…and I am sitting there like..lady, if you dogs were vaccinated for KC, and they still got it then it doesnt matter if everyone else it or not.. heck, the very fact that you dogs got KC despite having had the vaccine is exactly why we dont require it! they would have gotten it anyway! and second of all, if you spent $200 fixing them, you got seriously gypped because you could have fixed it with a $6 bottle of cough syrup lol

Not much is happening here, although I’m starting to wonder if someone builds an arc if my 3 bunnies can go aboard instead of the customary 2. It’s been down-pouring here all weekend. Roads are flooding all over. And it’s not supposed to stop until Wednesday. Then snow. Ew.

So… moosie got out last night lol. Evidently after I took hima nd Monkey for nail trims, me and hubby neglected to rememebr we had opened his door. So.. we had just plopped Moose back in his pen without checking.

Moose discovered it was open after we went to bed. Hubby woke up this mornign to see moose totally flopped out next to Smudge’s pen. Nothign had been chewed, so Moose was a good boy at last.

Mr. Bill you have a sweet play room I want work out equipment I live a block from a gym and I got a membership for 10/month I haven’t worked out since the Army (about a year and a half) haha.

I have a treadmill and weight bench I never use

Before we moved I was only 3 miles from the gym I belonged to for over 6 years. That was nice because I’d get up and go first thing in the morning, before I had to pop any pain meds. Now we’re 21 miles away from the same gym. So I had to buy some equipment for here.

And yes, the buns do get a good workout also. I alternate the time I open the grids up for the bun to have free run (Addie and Ben have half the room and Vin and Nessa have the other half). Every day Addie’s over jumping around the gym equipment, investigating it like it’s never been there before. And Vincent, he’s got to be on top of every thing all the time. I don’t know what it is about him and heights, but he just isn’t happy unless he’s looking down at everyone else.

It was so cold this morning. I’ve had the pellet stove going down here in the family room for a couple weeks now to keep the buns warm. But now I had to finally turn the heat on upstairs. Well, I guess we couldn’t hold out much longer. I just hate giving the utility companies any more money than we have to.

gyms, yuck.. I have dogs thats what they are for lol I would much rather exersize in nature then exersize around a bunch of sweaty strangers! I could get a really cheap gym membership if I wanted though..thats what happens when you work for fitness loons..rather then getting benefits that support you when your sick..your benafits involve keeping you healthy in the first place lol

That is one good thing about this apartment complex I live in. there is a nice fitness center here that I can use for free. During the winter its open 24 hours a day too. When the pool is open for summer though, the fitness center is only open during pool hours, 8 am to 10 pm.

You need the physical card here in the states? Weird. Up in canada, you just need to give the number.

I had a very, very weird dream last night.

In the dream, I woke up in an abandoned, deteriorating city. It looked like it had been abandoned for a good 15-20 years, at least. I had no memory of what had happened. I wandered around the city until I found a small house with another person in it. The other person explained what had happened. I forget the exact details, but there was some kind of end-of-the-world event a few years back, and most of the people in the city left or died. Only a few people were still in the city, and for some reason, they constantly had to move further and further away from a circle of giant skyscrapers in the middle of the city. The skyscrapers were extremely well detailed, and they were very badly decayed – some were falling apart, and some had already fallen. I felt a strong fear every time I looked at the skyscrapers, and yet, I felt that I needed to explore them. The rest of the dream was spent showing me running through the abandoned city, towards the skyscrapers.

I can’t seem to get the image of the skyscrapers out of my head now. >.< It was definitely a very weird dream. I hardly ever dream (or, rather, remember my dreams), much less have such vivid and detailed dreams.

lol that reminds me of the weird dream a had like a week or so ago..I dreamt that I have 4 birds not 2, and I knew I had 4 birds, but I was totally blanking on the names of these other 2, and where they came from and it was driving me crazy ..and I post a lot online so I tried looking up my posts to find out who my birds were but everytime I tried to type anything to search it, the computer would not let me, it would start inserting letters I didnt type, delete my words etc.. I was getting so frusterated in the dream that I was tossing and turning all night lol

I also rarly remeber dreams, much less have vivid dreams that effect my sleep lol

When I say “gym”, I mean health club. There is a difference. It was The Pennbriar I use to go to and that place was real nice. I use to belong to a regular gym back when I was weight training heavily. But I gave up the “muscle head” atmosphere of the gym for the amenities of the Pennbriar; the sauna, hot tub, racquetball, cardio machines which were actually maintained, a parking lot which was plowed in the winter.

My accident really messed me up. I miss working out hard and playing racquetball. Definitely miss the hot tub. I also sold my motorcycle. With the foot drop on my left foot I couldn’t shift anymore. Can’t rollerblade. And paintball; Josi, my daughter; her and I use to go play every Sunday.

Vin’s a bit “off” this morining. He has run of his and Nessa’s area at night. He likes sleeping next to her. This morning I came downstairs and he didn’t come running over to greet me. We all know when our buns aren’t feeling right, so I guess I don’t need to go in to details there.

First thing I did was call our vet to see if they had any Critical Care in stock. If he’s not eating later I’ll run over and grab some. Then I emptied his litter pan. I want to see if he poo’s. And I put down a plate with a few raisens, a baby carrot, and a piece of banana and apple. All his fav’s. And I emptied his pellets and counted out 20 and put those back in his bowl so I can see if he eats those.

He was laying weird. You know, when the buns lay on the floor bunched up, their back is usually arched up. He was laying like he was trying to press his belly to the floor and his back was flat. I’ve seen him streatch out like that, but never stay laying like that. I felt his belly to see if it was hard or if there were lumps. I couldn’t feel anything.

He’s a bit better now. His nose isn’t moving so he isn’t breathing heavily any more and he did drink a good bit of water. He looks more comfortable but still has eaten his treats.

He’s probably a little gassy. That’s exactly how one of my rabbits acts when he has bad gas.

If you have any Simethicone, you might want to give him a dose if he still seems uncomfortable. You might want to also try giving him a gentle belly massage.

I LOVE dreaming! And dream interpretation. I keep a journal of my dreams as I always have incredibly vivid dreams and I then try to interpret what they are saying to me. Every image in your dream has a meaning. I often have lucid dreams (when you know you are in a dream). I stopped telling people about my dreams because my boyfriend is certain that I am crazy when I tell him them.

No poo’s yet, but he’s acting normal, ate all the treats but 1 raisin, a bit of grass, and just took a Papaya table. I’m thinking maybe I’ll take him upstairs. He loves to poo all around (more around than in) the litter box up there.

Those are some strange dreams. I think someone’s been watching too many movies.

that is how it is here in my community too… people go through rabbits like socks because they can’t figure out how to care for them… so ‘a new bunny’ must be a replacement one!

But I think it’s better for people to keep believing it’s not possible to have two rabbits simultaneously….

Gracie goes to the vet tomorrow for x-rays. They told me they wouldn’t charge me for an exam and just for the x-rays. But the x-rays are still $150 (total of 2). They said they don’t do payments plans but I could get a credit card from care credit which I would get 6 months to pay off anything that I pay for there (big or small) which is wonderful because right now we are just strapped for cash during the holiday season. I’ve been trying to video tape her (I just thought about this the other day) when she jumps off the second floor and her legs don’t work that great (like they’re asleep)…..I guess I have bad timing because everytime I think she’ll do it and get her to jump down, she doesn’t do it! So I have until tomorrow morning to tape her. I thought if the vet can actually see what she’s doing she’ll get a better idea of what might be wrong. I’ll let you guys know what happens. I hope they find something that we can fix but at the same time I hope nothing bad comes up like a tumor or something. It would break my heart but all I can do is keep her comfortable and happy which I think I’ve been doing a lot better than her last owners.
My job is going pretty well, I’ve worked 3 days now. I work another day next week and one more the week after and then after Thanksgiving I’ll be on a schedule probably Tuesday and Thursdays I’ll have work. I should get my check by Monday, I haven’t gotten a paycheck in so long! I still get a little nervous in the morning but the girl is so patient with me and tells me I’ll be just fine. It’s not often you find a job where they really sit down and train you. I’m so glad I didn’t get into retail because I don’t think I could handle it.

If anyone watches Big Bang Theory and they remember when Sheldon folds his clothes with the “flip folding board”, I have one of those haha! I don’t use it that much since I don’t have the room. Sometimes they have a thing that helps people fold the clothes in retail (I’ve seen them at Kohls). So maybe wherever you go they’ll have one of those.

lol I am obbessed with big bang theory lol in fact we were just talking about it last night, my brother made a comment that sounded exactly like something Sheldon would say, and I looked at him and asked if he watches BBT..he was like “what, you think I’m like Sheldon?” lol and that launched into a whole convo. about BBT lolz

I LOVE BBT! I don’t have cable but my friend lent me all the box sets and I’ve been watching them over and over. Howard is my fave. He could totally pick me up with those lame lines… Nerds rock!

So Gracie and I just got back from the vets. They did x-rays on her and nothing really came up. She does have some calcium in her kidneys but there’s not to much we can do for that. I might spread out her pellet intake so that she’s not eating it all. She said it looks like she does have some arthritis on her spine and that’s probably why when she lays down for a long time she gets stiff and that affects her bladder. That’s pretty much what I thought was going on. She said we can put her on some metacam and see how that works for her but she didn’t want to put her on a lot because it can have side affects for her kidneys. So she gave me 7 syringes with a little bit of metacam in it. If it seems like it’s working then she can give me more to give her every other day or probably every 3 days. She looked in her ears also and said they looked a lot better. She did so well though, they didn’t have to put her under to do the x-rays which is great! I wasn’t sure how she would handle it since she’s older. I was so afraid they would find a tumor or cancer.

Mr. Bunny’s getting his first Penicillin shot today in just under 4 hours. I’m scared to death…I know that Penicillin is a mostly safe drug for bunnies, and I know that this will probably be all it takes to knock the infection out of him…but I’ve heard stories of bunnies reacting badly to Penicillin and dying suddenly, and I can’t stop thinking about them.

Yeah it’s in oral form but there’s not that much so she should be ok with it. She’s really good about taking medicine. I hope nothing ever happens with Sandy because God help me if I ever have to give her meds. I’m going to give her the meds tomorrow in case she has any reaction to them. I’m going out with my friend tonight…I haven’t had a girls night out in forever.

I don’t think I could ever work at a starbucks (although I don’t go there anyways), I’d mess up people’s orders. I hope you get the job! And hey, a temp job is better than no job. I hope you find something soon. I know how discouraged I was getting. If I didn’t get that call from All State I’d probably still be looking or probably given up. Least you’re getting into a career that they’re always hiring, I always see medical jobs in the paper.

Oh no, I hope Mr. Bunny gets better and doesn’t have any negative reaction to the shot. Who knew something so small and fluffy could worry/stress us so much sometimes. *vibes for Mr. Bunny*

Yeah you just gotta push through and keep looking. Oh I know the exact feeling, you feel you have to cry but you can’t, just don’t have the energy to do it. Don’t get discouraged, you still have your crappy job (even though it is crappy and I probably know how much you’d like to tell them to “take this job and shove it”), you’ll find something. Just take your time searching, if you wear yourself down looking to much then you might feel you want to stop altogether. Do you have a Target near you? I know they’re hiring by us (even though I applied and they didn’t hire me).
Sandy won’t let me trance her, at all. I haven’t had to give her any meds but I know she won’t like it. I can’t even trim her nails…plus she scares me, she’s not afraid to give you a warning bite. She’s very timid; I think it’s from her background. Gracie had a rough past with her first owners and Archie was found outside so they don’t scare easily but Sandy’s always been babied and never had a rough past, so she freaks out at the littlest things.

I might have to give in and apply at a few places here for at the least some temporary work. my knee may not like it, but well… we could use the extra money.

I wish I could get a job. I’m still too young to legally get a job in my state.

Less than an hour until we take Mr. Bunny in… I just noticed that he has a very sore paw today too, so he’ll have to get that checked out as well.

stupid dogs were fighting again, the boys of coarse..I never wanted a male dog, I dont like male dogs, this male dog picked me, I didnt even want him. the last 2 months he has been living on a leash because of his fighting with my moms male, today there was a mistake, my mom had put Rusty outside, and Ripley bolted from another room and tore out the door before it finished closing..the boys started fighting. Rusty’s mouth looks pretty bad, and his jaw is hugly swollen. Ripley looked fine at the time, but when I went to hand out the dogs nightly cookie, Riply looked up at me and his lip was swollen out huge..looks pretty funny actually lol, his is just from a puncture through his lip, no biggy. Rusty though..the swelling is right near his throat which worries me, he’s eating and drinking, but I still dont like it

Ugh. I finally get my bunnies (almost) bonded, and am finally ready to do cementing. And then, of course, AFTER I start the cementing, I notice that the only area I’m able to do it in happens to be a mouse playroom and toilet.

I feel awful…I woke up at 2am crying I ached so bad, anything touching my skin was was awful, my throat so swollen I could hardly breath, I was sweating bullets but freezing cold, high fever etc.. thank god for neocitrine(therma-flu for those outside canada) a nice extra strength dose of that and I felt great lol texted my manager at 4am, told her I was really sick and there was no way I would be able to work in the am and calling in the AM would be kinda hard since my throat was so swollen I couldnt talk. managed to sleep..then the meds started to wear off lol, now I am aching all over again, headache etc, drinking more neocitrine and wishing the pain would go away.

Got my first tattoo today.. well, part of it. Just the line work is done, have to go back in for a second session to finish it

girl at work today said she heard a funny story from her friend….her friend was driving slow because of the weather(its blizzarding) and some guy was tailgaiting her annoyed..he sped up, drove passed her, gave her the finger….and slide off the road and crashed into a pole. that my friend is karma lol

Yeah, gonna have it colored in a couple weeks after this part heals. Was going to get it all done yesterday, but it was taking longer than the tattoo artist had planned. He’s a perfectionist So we decided since I had been there for almost 4 hours already that we’d stop and come back for a second session

The bandage was only on for 2 hours I had instructions that said take it off then, and do not put another on. The tape was a pain to get off.. very sticky stuff.

Was there from 2:30 to 6 just for the line work… tattoo dude Jordan said it would take him at least 2-3 hours more for the color, if not a bit longer… and that it would hurt more

it was the flu..it turned into a cold now lol

so last night my mom tried removing the barrier and Ariel and giving Bailey just the whole split tank….no go..Bailey got so upset that my mom put the barrier and Ariel back in a hurry lol, Bailey has her nest set right against the barrier, so she seems to want Ariel around the pups..problem is Ariel doesnt like Bailey, so we cant remove the split :/

Buns  I had 2 fusions   L3/4 and L4/5      S1 acts up            I know that leg pain   pure hell.       I can’t stand for long either without that leg starting in. Numb burning tingling     so annoying.   I have even layed on the side of the road on the grass while hubby went to pick mangoes.  

Hey it hurts I lay down.   Helps relieve the pressure.   Once at the allergy Dr. office a staff lady got ugly with me for lying down.   Can’t you sit?  Don’t you sit coming here.    Noooooo  I lean the seat back in my friends car while she drives me over.       Biotch

Trying to get over this stupid cough.   2nd round of antibiotics for cough   and in between more antibiotics for bladder infection.  Caught that one  early  2nd day of med I felt better right away.

Things will get better.  Xmas   bah humbug.    I love the lights.   We don’t celebrate it.  When my son was young was fun.   But me and hubby don’t do anything.   It isn’t one of our holidays

Oh leg pain.   It feels so weird.  Numb tingly so irritating. The tingly pain and numb all at once.  Had 2 fusions.  After 3 months the leg pain came back lol.  Yeah.   Took me 6 months b4 I could squat down.  The morphine would wear off at 3 hours and I had to wait 4 for another shot.  I got to sleep for 3 hours off n on and that last hour of misery til the shot came.  Thats fusions for you.

I wonder whats up with Cotton lately.  He hasn’t come for lovings much.  Ruby is so sweet her.  I was watching a scary on Chiller  called Live Animals.    I had put Cotton to bed and Ruby and I snuggled and watched it.    She did some tooth purrs.  Very seldom does she do this. Guess she likes scary movies.  Hubby was out so I got to enjoy myself.

Ohh Britt …I am so sick of working at Starbucks. The only reason I stay is because of how flexible the hours are. If you do apply, do not get hired at a store with a drive-thru. You would probably enjoy working at a regular store. Around here the busier stores are the ones right off the freeways and the drive-thru stores. I just covered a shift today at a normal inhouse cafe starbucks …everyone made drinks so slow and no rushing about …it was amazing. They were all freaked out how fast I could make drinks but I had to learn how to be fast cuz of the drive-thru. You know the starbucks in seattle sell booze?? crazy right?

Well, not much! I have a couple projects I could be doing but am kicking round on BB instead.

Can you get tea tree oil or ointment in the States? It’s antiseptic and sort of has a slight numbing effect.

I like Ugg boots for cold weather. Or if you don’t like their prices, you can get Emus, which are Ugg knock-offs and they are just as warm, just not as expensive. I had a pair of Uggs that lasted almost the whole 15 years I’ve been here. Finally had to put them out of their misery as they’d busted a few seams and the snow was getting in.

We’ve got a winter storm watch going here…snow and freezing rain. (Not good for driving…bleah!) Our temps are deliciously warm for us, 30’s and 20’s above. I think it was almost 40 above on my porch today. Warm enough Jenna didn’t need her heavy coat for her walk.
She hasn’t been feeling too well the last few days. I think one of her canned foods was off and I didn’t catch it till it was too late.

Brit, those first ‘anniversaries’ of sad events are always the hardest. But it does get easier over time. I am also glad you have a grandma that you can go shopping with and do these special things with. I was actually raised by my maternal grandfather, but never knew it until I was 18 years old. He will always be ‘papa’ to me, and I do miss him so…even though he’s been gone now for almost 20 years.

I can’t reach it to slap it lol.

I plan on having 2 more, MM. A dragon, either on my side or my hip, and a bunny… probably on my ankle or foot A good bunny design is hard to find though

I saw on tv show recently this guy that went into a tattoo parlour and held an acupressure point on a customers hand. When he did it, the guy couldn’t feel any discomfort from the needle. We should as Maya what point that is.

My Deirdra was irate with Neigey this morning: he went into the BB tunnel where she was nappping and she got mad like only a female rabbit can get mad. She sent him into the big hayrack where he sat squished waiting for her fury to pass. It was funny though because as he was squished into the rack, he started munching. Then Duffy woke up and went to the rack wondering why there was a rabbit blocking him from access to the hay, so that sent Neigey back out of the rack.

Brittany, that you were with your mom when she took her last breath is such a comfort, it would comfort me even though painfully so.

I was unable to be with my grandpa when he passed away, it was very early in the morning and he had been hooked up to machines, they would not let me stay there and take him off, although he’d left me in charge of his living will directive to do so, and told me visiting hours were over, that I had to go home. It was by a phone call that I learned the news.

snow here is several feet deep lol walked my dogs this am and poor Rusty had to jump the entire way because the snow on the sidewalk, just from last night was up past his belly(about a foot), I had to walk in tire tracks on the road for parts because the people didnt shovel before the snow so it was so deep my BCs couldnt even get through it lol, so if anyone wants snow..please come take it!

CRAZY day at work..I had everything all ready to go, I reagargned the daycare dogs so I could set up kennels for the dogs comming in this afternoon, I had everything neat and organized by 2pm(we open at 2:30) then I did Sams nails, then Maxes bath and nails, then I grabbed Newf to do her nails..this was just before 2:30..she was putting up a fight so I asked the other girl who had just got in to help, then exectly at 2:30 we were still fighting with Newf, and I heard rattling at the door, oh crap so I run to the door to let her in and open up, got slammed instantly with like 12 people before we got a break and ran to try and finish Newf..it was a long and hard wrestling match but eventually we got it done lol, then we got slammed with people again, it was almost 4 by the time I had a chance to bring in the group of dogs that were probably getting really cold outside, switch the dogs out, start getting some x-mas pictures..I had a list of about 15 to do..I got done 4. didnt have a chabnce to feed the dogs till 5, re-feeding is usually done by 4:30..I didnt have re-feeding done till about 6:30, I had 50 kennels to clean, so I was running around trying to get the kennels cleaned at the same time. last 2 days I had everything down to the hallways done by 6pm. I didnt even get all the kennels done by the time I left at 7, nevermind the hallways! so…it was sooo nice when I came home and my mom had been busy…cleaning, baking, had a nice fire going, soft music in the background lol

either way we are going to need more staff if this is going to be the norm! when I started at the kennel/daycare 2 years ago we averaged 20 dogs a day for daycare, then it went up to 30 and 40 was an insane day, now 40 is incredably slow…heck 50 is a slow day! we have been averageing in the 60’s, and once in a blue moon we would hit 70…we have now had over 70 3 times in the last 2 weeks, 75 last wed. 71 yesterday and 71 today. trying to deal with 70 daycare dogs by yourself(I work alone in the afternoon when we are closed, just handling the dogs) just a few weeks ago I had time to clean the front, and handle the dogs and have time for extra’s..now I am doing nothing by flipping dogs around, I am lucky if I have qa few minutes to do a quicky mop of the front before opening the doors, its getting rediculous!

There are still idiots that think they can rule the road and go the speed limit. I am shocked the city didn’t even put down sand or dirt until THIS MORNING.. hello? It was WORSE last nigh!!!!! The east coast is so prepared with sanding trucks, sand putters. I read in the city paper a month ago that the city is prepared for a disaster.. I GUESS SNOW doesn’t count!!

Hey I’m in washington right now! I just went skiing today on mt hood!! Wee snow!!

I’m not ready to go back to school tomorrow…

err…. I’m supposed to be waking up in 4 hours, wish me luck.
