next month im gonna go celebrate my birthday with my brother in L.A. but i cant bring my bunnies with me.im gonna be gone for 3 days.are they gonna be fine by themselves for 3 days??i really dont trust anybody to bunnysit them & no one really wants to.
i am planning to just leave them with enough food and water but im still worried if theyre gonna be fine.

i am already contemplating on not going because i dont wanna leave them.my bunny Chace is used to his routine that he gets to play with us every night.if not,he chews on the grid bars and goes on destructo mode.my bunny Chance is pretty mellow as long as she has food, she wont care.

is leaving them ok?i know SaveABunny does bunny boarding but it costs a lot-more than my plane ticket.the shelter here dont do bunnies.

any suggestions or advices will be well appreciated.

No, that’s not a good idea. You need to have someone check on them or board them. Why don’t you see if you can find a pet sitter?

I would have some one come at least once. cuz you could feed them in the morning before you go, then they could feed them one day, then you can feed them the day you get back. You don’t trust any one to give them some food and check there water?

i could probably ask my friend to go feed them once a day.if not,i might just ask my brother if he can come here instead of me going there.

Now that’s a great option! Webcam to check in is fantastic
Check out the bunny sitter guide that you can print for free here -I use it to help me remember what to tell my sitter or anyone watching my buns

For next time you might want to see if you have a pet sitter in your area for a resonable price that you like. I found a great one, and she’s very cheap. For about a half hour visit a day she’s only 12$ a day-and she cleans/feeds/waters -whatever needs to be done. She even gave medication when that’s what we needed I highly recommend it because then they get to stay at home and you don’t have to guilt your friends or family to watch them

Kokaneeandkahlua thank for posting that link! I didn’t know that was on this website and I was looking for something just like that. I was really worried the first time I needed a pet sitter for my rabbit. But I found someone willing and was gone for a short while, and it turned out just fine. I felt better with him at home where he’s comfortable. I’m going to be gone from home for a whole month! That’s why I was looking for something with some information on daily health checks. Are there any other ways to give information to a sitter without getting too detailed and overwhelming?

I agree with the others that they shouldn’t be left, if one of the buns ate too much food you left out for three days worth and got a blockage or something . . . I don’t even want to think about it x.x The humane society that I adopted my bun from has boarding for $10 a day for a bun, so it’s great for me, although I haven’t toured the facility yet. Perhaps your vet has a list of people or places that would offer boarding or pet sitting? You could also try local rabbit breeders if you have any in your area.
