Ok, sorry, new bunny Mommy here. We have been letting Lollypop explore the house in the evening… and she loves it! She runs around for over a half an hour. She was running and exploring… looking at everything. She was hilarious. When we finally took her back to her room…. she sprawled out, with her little back feet kicked out, breathing heavy. Looked like a kid that had been running to much. Five minute later, she was back at the pen, trying to get out again.

She even chinned my foot tonight… I was so excited.

I am not sure how much space she had to run in before… guess this is our nightly work-out? Is this normal?

bunnies tend to rest in between playtime.as long as they get free run time everyday, they will be fine.they need it to stay healthy.

make sure that her area is bunnyproofed or supervise your bunny when she’s out.

Sounds like she is very happy and content with her surroundings as well!

How did you take her back to her room? Carrying or herd her back. She may have been reacting to that. My lop sprawls out like that breathing fast. Helps him cool down. If she was up and about within a short time, sounds like she’s doing fine!

Yes, she was down like that! She does now every evening. Yes, I just corral her back. Feel like a fool, but don’t want to stress her out! She was doing binkies last night… waiting to put the 7 year old to bed, to leave her back out! LOL.

My Dutch bun will do the bunny 500 sometimes at night, and then sprawl out and pant for a while to catch her breath. It sounds like your new cutie is just exercising. ^-^
