So I’ve finally found Merry’s not so-cuddly side.

Twice now she’s lunged at me with what seemed like no provocation.  I wasn’t doing anything new or out of the ordinary.  Then I realized that those two times were both after I had just gotten out of the shower!  Does anyone else have this issue?  Is it like she doesn’t recognize my scent anymore or something?

Could it be a reaction to the fragrance (which are chemicals really) of your soap or shampoo? Maybe try switching products and see if she continues to lunge……

Maybe… I don’t know. Are you fully clothed at this point or do you go from bathroom to bedroom in a towel/bathrobe? Is your hair wrapped up in a towel? Maybe she doesn’t recognize you, visually or by scent and it freaks her out.

when she lunged I was dressed (although I visited her with my hair in a towel too lol). Maybe it was because I wasn’t in sweats or jeans and in a dress instead that she didn’t recognize me

It’s amazing how little changes on us can freak them out. She seemed to have an extreme reaction though. I don’t have any advice really. Just that whenever I get a cold and my voice changes, mine decided they didn’t have to listen to me anymore cause I sounded “different”. Drove me nuts. LOL
