I just got my newest netflix movies.  If you are familar with them, the dvds come in a red envelope where you tear off a flap to open the envelope and then when you mail the movies back, you have this little flap you fold over to seal it back up to mail.  Normally everything has the perforations.

The current 3 movies envelopes came with tape holding some together before the perforated edges got torn.  They aren’t beat up, horrible looking or anything and were “professionally” taped.   I’ve never had this happen before.  It’s like their printining machine messed up or something and instead of throwing the batch out or whatever, they just used them anyways.

However, I still find this tacky and it’s not a usual occurence.  It’s never happened before but I feel like complaining because it’s not up to their usual quality.  Am I out of line?  lol   I used to work in retail so I tend to have a high standard for customer service.  I mean, who sends out taped up products?   Should I just simmer down and see if it happens again?  It wasn’t just one envelope.  It was all 3.

I would send them an email – they may not even know the problem exists and would probably appreciate knowing what happened so they could correct it.

I agree with Sarita, they could have a new employee just learning to do it and thought it would be ok if they taped it. I have Netflix and occasionally send an email about a problem I’ve had with a dvd and I think they appreciate knowing.

I have also gotten mail that was damaged by the post office and was crudely repaired…lol. I’ve even gotten a few letters with tiretracks on them.

You sure a neighbor isn’t watching them and then taping them up… LOL!!!!

But seriously, that’s strange. We’ve had netflix in the past and sometimes a dvd would be cracked when it got there, but that was it.

I use Netflix (love it) and got some funky deliveries which were the post office’s fault. They sent me an empty envelope with a stamped message on it from the PO, so I had to send it right back and let Netflix know.

Definitely go on their website and email a complaint. They want to know. It may be they need to send a new supply of envelopes to your local location, and that will speed it along.
