I literally just walked into my room. Indy was sitting in the middle of my room and I bent over and started petting him. He put his head down and was enjoying it as always. I scratched him for about 30 seconds then noticed next to him, shredded newspaper was out  from the dig box and i picked it up. As I stopped petting him and picked up that paper, he growled, lunged at me and bit me! Not hard, he got my finger and made a tiny cut but he has NEVER been like this. He then started a full out fight with Bee, chased her around my room several times and his tail was up in the air. He was PISSED. I don’t know if he just didn’t want me to stop petting him or what, but I was gone for about 9 hours at work, their pellet bowl is empty ( I filled it before I left) It more hurt my feelings that he was so angry with me, he was just peachy when I was petting him. He does like to toss my finger when he wants things, maybe this was his game gone a bit too far??? IndyBun is so angry I’m gonna give them their veggies and see if I can make up to him.  *sad face*

Looks like he is shedding a lot too, I didn’t notice before but his face has uneven fur on it. Now he’s grooming Bee.

Had you been petting any other animals? A strange scent on your hands that could have also been transferred to Bee as well?

I did greet and play with the dogs for awhile and I touched some basted raw hide bones. Maybe the bones did it? I don’t think I washed my hands after handling those.

There is big possibility that it was the scent of another animal.  When we would go to my in-laws that have a hunting and we would come.  Oroe would go crazy.. she would attack what part of us. she even chased my son onto the couch.  When we figuured that out we washed our hands before we even fed her.

My in-laws stopped by on Sunday..why anyone would bring a hunting dog to a house that has rabbits is behond me, anyway the dog got upstairs where Oreo and Bubba were sleeping, the dog put her nose under the bed and Oreo went after her.  (I was so proud) the dog was scared and went down stairs (Keep in mind I was not there when this took place)  The Queen does not like her sleep interrupted.  This is the same bun you run a vacuum beside and growls and bites it

Yea, I really think it must have been the dogs smell, the bone probably didn’t help the situation. I haven’t had them meet each other really. I won’t let the rat terrier meet them ever, but the pom I would trust but it’s not necessary since they aren’t free roaming the house.

                    Thanks everyone
