So i got some MORE pics, lol, I had a day off today so went crazy cleaning the house today so was able to catch alot of cute moments, besides Wednesday’s cut lil sleeping style. These pics are of the tiny babes, all of them have their eyes open already! theres a REW in the litter!!!! uhhhm need ideas on how to tell them apart all of them seem to have the same markings. Was thinking of tying colored yarn around their lil legs, lol!!
(my daughter wanted to color them with water colors to tell them apart, lol, she was like “I know mommy we can color them different colors with my water colors!” she was serious about it too!![]()

My goodness! I’m amazed they’ve come along so well!!!!
Your daughters idea has some merit you know…Maybe not colour them entirely
but a colour dot inside the ear with a non-toxic marker might work. I know KatnipCrzy has coloured the white blaze on cottontail kits before when she use to do Rescue. Avoid using string though as it could cause injury or become a choking hazard.
So cute! I love how the one is sleeping o it’s back!
I second Jers, use a non-toxic marker to make a dot, or what about using concentrated food coloring? I’d think that since the food coloring is a dye it would stay longer than a marker dot, and since it’s safe for us, it should be safe for bunnies, right? Call your vet on that one ![]()
OMG CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE
Gimme!! *grabby hands*
I think my head fell off.
I agree, I would somehow safely mark them so they can be told apart. Even if you don’t do it right now, you’ll want to as they get older and then when they need to be separated.
they are really cute!! I am in love with the one thats flopped out on its back!
food dye wont stay lol we tried that with some gerbils before, figered food dye would be safe and last longer..it was gone within the day.
They are so cute!!!! Squeee!![]()
the last photo is just so cute!!they do seem to have the same markings.
Thats a good idea! do you guys recommend any specific brand? my only thought here is Crayola they are non-toxic since its for children but not quite sure it it will stay for long. I was personally thinking that once they got older i could put them kitty collars. Not sure if thats okay though. Im thinking kitty collars since kitten collars are smaller, thinner, and more light weight. but ill definately do the marker thing.
No collars. Collars are a very very bad idea.
I would get a box of rainbow colored non-toxic crayola markers and put a dot just above their tails. They tend to clean their ears a lot, but that’s a spot that’s hard to reach so it might stay longer, as well as mark more than one strand of fur so has a better chance of being seen for a while. Also, take pix of each one individually and notice a unique trait about each that you can label with the name and use to identify for a few weeks more.
NO collars or string/yarn/thread. Very dangerous. If the one wearing it can’t nibble it, another one can come over and take a taste. Too risky.
It is a box full of teeny tiny Sammykins!!!! Sigh. So cute.
Its a box of Mini Smudgies too ![]()

Okay so NO collars, got it! LOl! And thats a great idea Rabbitpam! I was trying to do the whole dot in the ear thing, but even the inside of their ears are dark, so i figured that wouldnt work so great. So i’ll do the tail thing, I’m also gonna do the whole picture thing just have to find a way to get them to sit or lay still. I think that will also be really helpful for the people in the rabbit organization that are gonna help me put them up for adoption once they are 2months. so ill try and do that tomorrow. It will also help me with giving each of them names. =)
So i’ll do the tail thing,
You daughter is going to be so thrilled! ![]()
You’ll have to post all the pics you take so we can decide the best ones for you ![]()
Ohh…mai…gawd.
It’s like ….10 little Indybuns with smaller ears in a box. I must have that box. I must. That baby on it’s back even has the lil face mark like Indy bun!
I am so glad I’ve never had rabbit babies, I would never be able to adopt them out. :p

LOL!! yes she will i’ll wait until she gets back from school so she could help or else shes going to be very dissapointed that I colored without her
And yeah i’ll definately post the pics up once i take them. Oh and Lintini trust it will be really hard for me when its time to hand them over to the rabbit organization, my daughter already started crying about it
She is taking it really hard since she saw Wednesday leave already. Cried all day until i put her to take a nap. I think this time ill do it when she’sin school so she wont see them leave.
Now I’m singing “one little, two little, three little Indybuns, four little, five little, six little Indybuns…”
heehee!!
OMG, your in Baby Bunny Heaven!!! Adorable!
*head explosion*
holy frijoles… I will be keeping this thread open for a while.
