         Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share a new option I recently bought as a hay rack for Sammy.

His previous hay rack (shown below) had a front opening that was almost the exact width of his head, so I was worried that as he grew, it might be dangerous for him as he could potentially get his head stuck in it.

I looked into other plastic bag holders that could work as hay racks, since I like the idea of the front bottom hole through which a rabbit could stick his whole head and get directly at the hay (as opposed to having to reach it and pull it out through bars).

I found the plastic bag holder below by searching on google shopping… it was only 7 bucks plus shipping on amazon and it works really really well, in addition to having a front opening that is large enough for Sammy’s head.

What’s also really nice about it is that, since it’s plastic, the hay can’t fall out the back or sides and go all over the place as in other hay racks.

Sammy seems to really like it

Very cool, and looks like it keeps the hay in one place. Less mess, nice.
I’m not sure it would work with my guys, they chew plastic, their litter boxes aren’t even safe

Yeah that would definitely be a problem for you then Andi. The plastic isn’t super thick…

I was actually originally considering switching my plastic bag holder metal hay rack to a very similar option, which was basically the trash bag holder from the same line that could also hang on the inside of cabinet doors. It was the same exact design as the metal plastic bag holder with the hole, but didn’t have the hole. So you got the same capacity for the hay, and same vertical and thin design, but no potentially dangerous hole

If these companies only knew how their products were being used LOL. That looks great.

I just got it yesterday!! I haven’t set it up yet…I don’t know who to set it up for! It’s a little smaller than I thought, but it’s really nice still! I am thinking maybe the stinky bink brothers will like it.

Hope it works out well for you! It does hold a little less hay than my previous one, but I kind of like that because it makes sure he gets through it quicker and I refresh it more often.

It’s also definitely a million times neater both when being filled and when just in use than my previous one was

I set it up, I do like it a lot. I won’t waste as much hay now, and I still have a 2nd litterbox for Bee to be able to dig in. Thanks again
