I have three hollands and just recently got the third one a month or so ago. Pepperoni, the dominant one, is very aware of the new bunny (Meatball). She constantly poops around his cage and will pee sometimes as well. On another note, my other bunny, Cheddar, doesn’t seem to mind Meatball at all.

Any tips on training Pepperoni to accept the new bunny in her territory and stop marking? I have placed a litter box near Meatball’s cage, but she refuses to go in it.

Females are very territorial. This behavior isn’t likely to stop until after they are bonded together, although it may decrease over time.

All 3 bunnies are spay/neutered, correct?

The older two are spayed/neutered, but the little one isn’t yet. It should get better when the little one gets neutered as well.

I have found the more bunnies in my house, the more poo and pee marking happens. So far it’s not gotten better at my place and everyones spayed/neutered.
Are you planning on bonding all three? That may help.

Baically, until all your rabbits have been altered and then bonded, and been bonded for a while, the marking will go on.

Yes, I plan to bond them all when Meatball gets neutered. Kind of bummed to hear that the marking may continue even after they are all fixed.

Its a territorial thing. Until they are all best buds, they will keep marking their territory
