Thanks again for all your help, advice and tips.  I think he just needed to settle in a bit more.  He isn’t too much of a hay eater so I’m going to try some different varieties.  He is drinking a lot more today.  He is also getting a little bit spunky.  He just around my feet and climbed up my legs this morning because I wasn’t cutting his veggies fast enough!  What a little buger.  Yesterday he wouldn’t even come up to say hi.

Before he would only lay down.  Even when he was out of his spot.  Now he’s getting into everything!  He even tried to jump in the dishwasher while I was putting the dishes away.  I’m so happy he is coming out of his shell now.

Thanks again for everything.  Hopefully I can get some more pictures soon.

Oh, that’s great! He sounds like he’s going to be so much fun once he feels more comfortable.

OK.  Here’s some more pictures.  I swear he knows when I have the camera.  So I haven’t gotten too many yet.  Hopefully I’ll have some better ones in a few days.

Here is Hugo in his favorite spot.

This is when my girls decided to hand feed him his dinner last night.  These show how big he really is too!

                                An adorable face.

You remind me of new parents of infants who wish their baby would do more, and then along come the terrible 2s and the baby is into everything. The parents start wishing other things….He is one happy bunny to be at your home.

Thanks. I did wish he’d do more. I’m glad he is as active as he is. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Your daughters are so cute! And that really helps to see his size. With the pics by the stove, he doesn’t look that big at all, but once you see him in comparison, wow! He is big!

Is that staining on his fur? What kind of conditions was he kept in before?

                                        Thanks for all the compliments.
Beka27: I don’t know what his conditions were exactly. I know he was in at least 2 shelters. The 1st one had him for a while I think. They said he wasn’t full grown yet when he went there. The was put in a goat pen because they didn’t know what to do with him. Once the 2nd shelter got him (where I adopted him from) he was kept at a foster home. they thought some of it was because he was not neutered yet. They said they gave him a bath once a month. I think some of it is his coloring and some of it is because he needs cleaned.

If it’s staining, it will most likely be gone within 3-4 months once he goes thru a full shed cycle. You can help by trying to brush him frequently. His fur looks a little bit rough to me, similar to how my Max’s look when he first came home from the rescue (he lived in a warren-like situation and was outdoors part-time). Within a few months, he’ll probably not even be recognizable, he’ll look so amazing, just needs some TLC.
