off topic..i know…but im planning to get a tattoo sooner or later and i just wanna see if any of u have one.tell me about your experience and where is the best part of the body to get a tattoo on.
i might get a tattoo of my bunnies but im having a hard time looking for ideas online.apparently, only a few people have one.im not really fond of portraits.i would want it to look cartoonish/anime.i like it girly and cute ![]()
I don’t currently, but have plans for 3. And a bunny is one of them! hehe. Just waiting to find the perfect design, and a really good tattoo place here.
I have one
Its on my ankle. It is of the teal ovarian cancer ribbon with the Japanese kanji for “my mother.”
Do you know anyone that draws really well? How is your pain tolerance? I thought I would cry and scream, but I did really well. I made a lot of faces and cussed a little (oopsie), but that was about it. I would rather get another tattoo than get a shot. This is coming from someone that has to learn how to do shots next year and be someones guinea pig O.O
I like ankle, or upper back.
I am going to be getting one done in the near future (I haven’t gotten the itch to do it yet.. hahah!) of my Chinese zodiac animal – RABBIT on my upper back or something. Not sure about location yet. I’m picky about the design. I don’t want cutesy, as it will be on my body forever, but something I can live with
Oh, and be sure to read online reviews about tattoo parlors or get recommendations from people. Be sure the parlors are clean. The artists will tell you how to clean your tattoo. Be sure to buy some tattoo goo
It helps with the healing process. You will most likely have the wrap (saran wrap) on your body part for a few hours, and you will need to wash the tattoo with anti-bacterial soap. You’ll need to clean it twice daily for 2 weeks.
And another (wow this is a lot, huh), you may or MAY NOT scab. The tattoo heals by scabbing. It may look ugly, but DO NOT TOUCH THE SCAB OR PICK AT IT!! I slapped mine a few times to stop myself cos I was itchy!! It ruins the tattoo -_-;; Some places will do retouches after it completely.
Tattoos aren’t cheap
I paid $80 for mine and tipped him $20 bucks. Portraits are expensive.
Here is a pic of my 3… the last one hurt…pretty bad….last one ever……maybe…..they are pretty addicting…. we’ll see ![]()

I’d recommend to pick an area that will stretch less with time – it will stay looking better when you are older that way. As mentioned, ankles and shoulders can be a good choice. Tops of feet, wrists (typically inner side) and calves also seem to do well with time. Also keep in mind that going over bony areas is certainly more painful – the more fat and muscle you have between the pen and bone, the less it will ouch. You should also consider how much you want to be able to conceal it – do you want to show it off or have it not visible most of the time? Also the complexity of the design – if you go cartoony its easier to go small than something more realistic, so you could feasibly put it on the smaller body parts like ankles.
I don’t have tattoos, but have a number of friends who are artists and many more who are very decorated. I do plan to get one one day, and have a design selected, but I’m waiting until the timing feels right.
I have one of my favorite classical music pieces on my lower back like Katie. It didn’t hurt much at all. Just make sure you love it – and you will know it when you do.

I recommend for a first tattoo not to get a big piece, especially over the spine. My first tattoo is a big design on my lower back of the Egyptian “Ankh”. It’s black and white (sorry no pics) and I fell in love with the design but 2 and a half hours is a long time to sit for the first one. And I found the spine quite painful. My second and third are two rocker type stars on each side of my lower abdomen. I hardly felt those. I want more, lots more but there is just too many other things to spend $ on right now.
Lintini & Katiep those are nice tats!id really like a rabbit theme.i think i’ll just get it on my shoulder.
Brittany, thanks for the advice.Rabbit is your Chinese Zodiac animal??you are meant to be a Bunny Lady.lol.
What is that piece of music, Lint?

Yup. Its my Chinese Zodiac animal
Pretty trippy, huh? My mom just KNEW ![]()
I’m looking for a good design, not something too cute for my next tattoo. I want to get it done next year.. Year of the Rabbit. I’m the “Fire Rabbit,” so I want some flames.. feminine ones.. if that is evne possible ![]()
Yup! Mars: Bringer of War by Gustav Holst. My most favorite piece in the world!! Thanks!
Man does that piece get the adrenaline flowing! WOO!
: P

I don’t have one, and well my feelings on them was only if it meant something important to me.
I have an idea of a rabbit one, it would be two outlines of rabbits on my ankle. Thing is other then showing I like rabbits it doesn’t ‘mean’ anything to me, I love all animals.
The one that keeps coming back to me though it a Rocky Mountain Sheep Ram, 1) I’m Canadian 2) I’m an Aries. And well that to me means quite a bit. I have the picture in my mind, but I am SO picky that I’ve not seen a animal portrait tatoo artist i like. I am thinking I am much to picky to allow someone else to ink me. I cannot even pick artwork for my house b/c I am so picky on how it looks/is done :p *sigh*
my boyfriend drew 2 designs for me.the first one is a bunny silhouette kissing a butterfly.i wanna put that on my wrist.the second one is a girl sitting down hugging a bunny.i still dont know where to put that cuz its a lil big.he pretty much drew both of them to look like Chace.
i might get it done next month since im tight on $$.i will post pics as soon as i get it.
