I haven’t posted pics of MJ in a while because I no longer have a working camera. I did just inherit a new-to-me phone and it has a camera on it. So I apologize for the quality of the pics, but it’s the best I’ve got.
I regret not taking pictures of MJ before I trimmed him. He looked like a mop. Not to be confused with Mops.. lol!
Though they do look very similar, only Mops is such a pretty black. Anyway, I finally pinned him down one night and tackled his back half and then a few days later he (miraculously) peacefully let me trim his mane and mid-body.

This is pre-trim. You can see his mane sticking out above his head and to the right of it. I’m not joking when I tell you it was at least 5 inches long.

And here he is after his haircut! You can still see a few longer wisps sticking out where I missed them. I am definitely no groomer, but I’m actually fairly pleased that he doesn’t look more disheveled than this!

Tip-toeing toward noms..

Look! MJ actually has ears! They had been hiding for months now under tons of fur!

And this is how MJ greets me every morning. It’s how he demands service. The hutch is on the very top level of his cage, so he sits atop it and he can stare me down until I feed him. It’s fairly high, so he can almost get eye-level with me and there’s NO way you can dodge such a disapproving stare.
My favorite part of this routine is that I make him give me kisses before he gets any food. Teehee..
That’s all for now, folks!
