So, Peanut Butter has been neutered a for little over a month now; currently he’s about 7-8 months old. His spraying declined drastically from the time I got him (1 day post-neuter) until yesterday, when I introduced him to Riesling for the first time. Even though they’re separated, there’s been a sudden uptick in spraying again- just little drips on toys in his cage and flung around the ex-pen when he goes out to play. Given the timing I’m assuming this is related to stress and/or being territorial, but it’s annoying all the same. I’ve been using 50/50 vinegar/water to clean the spots on the carpet, just a quick spray and wipe after playtime, but I’m not sure how clean that gets things. I was wondering if anyone had experience using products like Nature’s Miracle or other enzymatic cleaners with rabbit urine? It’s worked pretty well on cat stains for me but since rabbit urine is different from dog/cat urine, I’m not sure if it would be any more effective than what I’m already doing. Just curious!

Also hoping this second spraying phase passes…. ick!

I’m not sure how much you need an enzyme cleaner if it’s on a hard surface. It sounds like he’s spraying because of meeitng the new bunny, and it’s not likely that he smells his own pee and is needing to mark again you know? But if you already own it-totally give it a try.

I have been using nature’s miracle on rabbit pee…. my conclusion, doesn’t really do anything that diluted vinegar doesn’t. Defintely does not help with stains at all – just use peroxide for that if it becomes a problem. As for the smell, I hate the smell of natures miracle, its like bad perfume to me. But I feel that way about many things (i.e. scented cat litter). I’d rather sniff vinegar for a day than have that lingering fake flower garbage. I have heard positive things about it getting rid of rabbit pee. I don’t smell the rabbit pee, but my rabbit doesn’t have very strong smelling pee (I basically have to stick my face right into a pee stain to smell it), and I’m not sure if that’s because the area now smells like something else, or the smell is gone.

My overall thoughts: don’t waste your money.

Really? Nature’s miracle does wonders on the stains I have (had). Love the stuff. I use it alot, rather than vinegar, but thats also partly because my hubby HATES the smell of vinegar. He’s fine with Nature’s Miracle. And it works for me! Especially when Monkey had her bladder issues, and was peeing in her sleep, poor baby Cleaned up the spots no problem.

Hmm. Strange. Well, I don’t have the oxygen formula, just regular. It doesn’t work on stains much at all for me. Perhaps it could be on a fabric by fabric or different formula problem?

I use both vinegar 50/50 water mix and Nature’s miracle. Vinegar does a great job getting out the stains, but from my experience, Nature’s Miracle works better to prevent remarking. I do make sure I use enough that soaks down deep and then I let it air dry as directed. HOWEVER, i am talking “rugs and carpets” and if comes to cages or easy to surfaces, I just use vinegar. (unless they’ve made a real mess and I can’t get the smell out, then I will use Nature’s Miracle but the key with that is to be able to let it sit, otherwise all it does it just adds a scent, doesn’t eliminate the other scent.

In your case, I don’t think much of anything is going to prevent respraying because you are dealing with another bunny who has entered into the picture. Your bunny may stop though once he’s used to the stranger in town.
