My bun just turned 1 in July, and we moved into a new place with a new pup and kitten May 1st.  She’s already adjusted amazingly!  Loves the doggy, loves the kitten, great behavior all around.  However, my parents used to keep their house VERY cold.  Very.  We keep it a little warmer, around 75 only because we’re on the 2nd floor and the arse$!&$s below us INSIST on keeping their doors AND windows open the whole day, thus sending the heat up to us.  Our bill is already $200 and change, it’s hard to keep it cooler right now.  We have fans going a lot as well.  We have hard wood floors, and I have her in an x-pen with my old Hello Kitty comforter under her.  She lays right next to a wall vent because it puts out a little cold air right onto her, and in that area, I pull back the comforter.  She LOVES laying on the floor, probably because it’s colder.

However, recently, within the last day or so, she’s taken to laying randomly on the comforter.  She feels fine, isn’t acting any different besides that.  We let her out a lot, pretty much any time one of us is home, her pen is open and she has free reign.  Sometimes she comes out, sometimes she doesn’t.  She’s a picky bun!

Does that just sound like she’s just being….different?  I’m concerned that she may be sick, but she isn’t doing anything differently, her poo looks fine, her pee is fine, I checked her all over and she really seems ok.  Just likes the comforter a little more?

Also, she has a water bottle attached to her pen. Is it ok to put an ice cube or two in there to keep it cool longer? Or will that upset her tummy? Thought I’d ask before I do it

I wouldn’t put an ice cube in the bottle – just keep the water fresh.

I think she’s just adjusting to her new environment. And your neighbors sound weird :~)
