After 2 and a half years Oreo and Bubba are firends.  Last month my daughter left Bubba out not knowing Oreo was sleeping under the bed.  She tried to catch Bubba several times so that he would be safe.  She called me at work and was terrified.  I asked her where they were and and what they were doing; she said the are laying at opposite ends of the bed (under) .  I told her to stay right there on the bedroom floor if Oreo goes after him you pick that bed up and get Bubba away from her.  The best part they were more afraid of her than each other, when I arrived home from work. I went upstairs and they were laying in the middle of the floor grooming each other.  I has been funny.  Bubba has been caged for 2 1/2 years (he would be left out when Oreo went to bed).

He is now learning the ropes of being a free range bunny.  Example when you hear some one up in the morning you run downstairs and sit by the door and you get a treat, bedtime is between 10am and 11am, when you hear “the sound” that means there is going to cool air coming out of the wall that is my vent  so you better move (and he does)  I am so happy I do not have to cage him anymore it broke my heart for him to be in there.  he has caught onto everything.

That’s great! It’s funny when unexpected bonding happens but funny in a good way.

Ah Bunnies! I’ve read of other accidental bonds and it’s nice when it works out well. Lucky you that this was a swift bond for these 2 rascals!
