        I adopted Belle yesterday.

She isn’t litter-trained so I noticed several tiny cecels all over her cage. It is so small.. like much smaller than a dime! Should I concern? I dont know what’s the problem. Is that happen because lack of fiber? Romeo’s cecels are pretty big like size of quarter or nickel. That’s why I asked.

I’ll take her to vet later this weekend for check up.

She hardly eat hay because she only ate pellets from animal shelter. I gave her few pieces of oxbow pellets so whenever she will go hungry, she will eat hay.

          Do you fecals or cecals?

If you are talking about fecals – different rabbits produce different fecal sizes. When you take her for her check-up though, make sure they do a fecal test since she has been at the animal shelter.

Are these cecels or normal droppings? You usually don’t see cecels and if you do it can mean that something is affecting their diet, maybe overfeeding on pellets or a sudden change in pellets. They also leave cecels if they can’t reach round properly to eat them as they should eat them straight out of their bottom.
Have you kept Belle on the same pellets as they had her on at the shelter? Depending on her age, I might restrict her pellets as this might encourage her to eat more hay. Is Belle leaving huge grape like cecels or just small, soft droppings? When Umi started leaving cecels it was because she was filling up too much on pellets.

Oops, sorry, I forgot to add about fecals
Fecals and cecals are the same sizes. Much smaller than shape of a dime.

No, I didn’t overfeed her or suddenly change her pellets. I didn’t give her pellets until like an hour ago. ONLY few pieces of pellets. I cannot use the same pellets from animal shelter because they aren’t sure. They just grab random bags of pellets and feed rabbits. They dont keep track of which pellets go to which rabbits.

Well, it’s pretty hard to know when it’s a new rabbit to you. Since you have a vet appointment I would mention this to the vet.

I do imagine that alot was the diet that she had at the shelter. It may take time to get her used to eating hay and getting her diet on the right track.

                  Yea,

It reminded me that when I adopted Romeo, it was so hard for me to make him to get used to his diet. He used to refuse to eat hay and drink water. Right now, he love to eat hay and drank plenty of water.

Now, I’ll have to go through same thing again for Belle.

At least I want her to have good life
