Umm, I need advices about carpet and tons of pee stain.

  Hello everyone,
  
  Soon later this week or next week, I’ll replace the flooring for my guinea pigs and rabbits. The problem is that my ginea pigs pee all over my carpet. (they pee on it on for like over a year already, dont ask me, I am not paying for this apartment and it’s my roommate’s decision) There is an apartment’s carpet and we bought a thin carpet cover it for my rabbit, romeo not damange the carpet that come from the apartment. We will replace the carpet that we covered for hard floor. I bet there will be a lot pee stains on the apartment’s carpet. How can we remove the pee stain all over the carpet? I’m thinking to get a huge bottle of vingear to wash whole carpet but I’m not sure if this will success.

  My parents came over and noticed the smell of pee in my pet room. My roommate and I didn’t noticed the smell at all. My friends didn’t noticed the smell either.

  I’ve used Woolite Oxy Deep carpet cleaner and it works wonders! I’ve had pee stains that have been sitting for months and used it and they’re gone.
  
  I have to add that I do this when the rabbits are in their cage and at night time so it dries. If I get it right away I usually use vinegar but I’m never tried the vinegar on old stains before. Try the vinegar first and see if it works, at least that’ll be safe for them if it’s still wet when they’re out.

  Yuck, that’s disgusting.
  
  I am lucky enough to have hardwood floors in my apartment, but when I was growing up my family got a puppy and he peed all over the carpet until he was house-trained. We used Nature’s Miracle, which my mom swore by. I don’t know if it will work on old stains, but it definitely stops odor and makes it look like an accident never happened.

  Well… I just do what you planned to do originally. I dump white vinegar. It gets rid of the stain AND the smell. Of course… the buns don’t like it much so sometimes they pee on that place again to cover up the vinegar, lol
