So I woke up early (6AMish) and had plenty of time before leaving for work. Sammy has been cooperative lately about going in and out of my bedroom, especially with a clicker to leave, so I let her have a morning run.
She didn’t. She went under my bed. And stayed there.
I clicked to get her out. She went as far as the clicker and treat. Then ran back under.
I called my mother, telling her all was fine, but often Sammy hears me on the phone and gets curious and comes out. It was 7:45. So we chatted and periodically I told her there was no sign of bunny. Finally hung up. Called, poked with toes, cajoled. Nothing. She’s well, she’s not a meat loaf or tooth grinding.
Just stubborn.
Mum said I probably have to leave her free range today. At least the apt. is bunny proofed completely.
I post this for all of you who ask if bunnies can be defiant, moody, uncooperative, do things they were trained not to do, understand commands and ignore them, etc. etc. etc. The answer is YES. They are smart. And they are Smart Alecks. Feh.
