Oliver went in for a baby bunny physical today.
I am lucky to have such a great exotic vet barely 20 minutes away from where I live; she’s the same vet who sees my hedgehogs.
He was such a gooooood bunny! He sat quietly in my lap in the waiting room while I petted him. He loves to have his ears and noggin massaged, and while I was doing that he nearly fell asleep. Everyone in the waiting room was intrigued by him and they seemed surprise to hear that rabbits can live indoors. I can’t believe how many people still think they are “outdoor only” pets. Oliver is so sweet and expressive, I can’t imagine him being shut up in a hutch 24/7 with hardly any human contact.
Anyway, the vet examined him and said that he looks great. She says that he is going to be a biiiiig boy when he is fully grown. She estimated around 8-10lbs??? I couldn’t believe it because he is a Mini Lop. When I told her that, she said that he is still big for a Mini Lop for his age; she said that he might be a cross between a Mini Lop and a larger breed like a French Lop. Also, he won’t be ready to be neutered for another month or so. She said she wants to wait until he is a bit older so he will tolerate the anestesia better. Does this sound reasonable to you? He has already started spraying his pen and our furniture, but not often. He also sprayed a guest who came to our apartment, LOL.
Thanks for reading all that. Here are the promised pictures.

He loves to explore my school stuff, but he hardly chews anything.

His favorite sleeping spot 😛
Thanks for looking!
