Mr. Bingley was nuetered almost three weeks ago. A few daya ago I noticed that he seemed withdranw from me, almost mad. I had spent the entire day at a conference and gotten back really late at night. He is staying with me at my parents, so my mom was in there a few times to visit. She said that he was really excited to see her and layed on her feet for attention and such, so I assumed he was just upset that I was gone the whole day without visting him. But his behavior hasn’t really changed much. He spends all of his time under the bed and only came out for his treats and then went straight back. Can he reallly be offended by my absence for this long? Or is it posssible this weird behavior is created by his hormones changing? I’m a little sad because my little guy seems to be sad or something and I don’t know if this is normal or what to do about it.

Could be the new location if he isn’t used it your parents home, could be hormones still, or just you being away… As long as he’s eating and pooping well, I wouldn’t worry too much about him. Might be because of heat too…

Eddie gets pouty with me sometimes where he doesn’t want anything to do with me. Usually it’s if I’ve been on gone on vacation or something. Or if our routine changes. Or I pay too much attention to Lollipop. Who knows. LOL But yes, I think it’s possible he might be a bit grumpy with you cause you were gone. Most of the time, I think Eddie gets mad cause his routine changed more than anything else. He is quite a stickler for his routine. lol

I’d just try to make a fuss over him so he feels special and he’ll come out of it. lol That’s what I do with Eddie. And like Beka said, just make sure he’s still eating and drinking and pooping normally.

He, thankfully, is still eating normally. He has been here with me for two weeks and has been here before recently as well as I go back and fourth between my home town and my school town during summer. I let him roam the whole house because he absolutely loves to explore and I finally saw a binky! its been a few days. Now he’s stopped hiding and is back out in the open and letting us pet him again. Ugh, these crazy guys are so hard to understand! lol

I have to go out of twn tomorrow and the traveling is too extensive to bring him with. I’ve left detailed instruction for my mom and she knows him well so hopefully this goes smoothly. I’ll be back in two days. We’ll just have to wait and see.

That’s great!   They usually do.  I always worry and freak out about mine whenever I leave them overnight.  It’s not often though.
