I’m having a hard time telling what you feel is wrong but I always always recommend you seek vet treatment. You will get alot of good and bad information on the internet. Even if you don’t think they are rabbit savvy, they are vets who have been to school. If you are concerned you should try ton continue getting him to eat and then get him to a vet.

In the meantime, you should seek out a vet that you feel may have more knowledge of rabbits.

I hope you can get some rest and not worry and Monday is not too far away.

You need to encourage your Mom to get him to the vet first thing Monday morning.

Hey, Good News prince-ess is all good! it was constipation  i didnt think they could suffer with things like this, he started to eat early hours sunday morning but he wasnt pooping or peeing still at this point i thought it was going to explode!! i felt soo sorry for him so again i was rubbing his belly trying to help and sunday night he did a really big Pooooo… and then ate it  got him in the vets on monday to make sure there wasnt something in there blocking it, and all is good, so ive changed his diet he eats alot more fresh fruit and veg and ive bought a mix with dried fruit in and wheat fibre etc.. and he LOVES bananas i didnt think he would thought hed just turn his nose to it but he gobbled it down! LOL and hes back to his normally bouncy self…

But on other bad news, in my local newspaper a bunch of thugs have burnt a bunnys lopped ears off!! i nearly was crying so emotional when it comes to the fluffy friends!! xx

Good to hear he came good.

I must caution you on the diet changes you’ve made as you might end up with a sick bunny again. Too much fruit will overload his tummy with sugar and bad bacteria will grow. Also, mix feed contain things that can cause gut slow downs and food to become impacted in the intestine. He would be better off on a really simple diet of grass hay and suitable vegetables. He could also have a plain pellet that has at least 20% fibre.

Check out the diet info under the title “Bunny Info” at the top of the page. With diet changes, you want to do this all slowly so as not to shock his system. Rabbit digestion is pretty tricky.

Does he have a water bottle or a bowl? It’s a good idea to give a bowl also incase the water bottle is not working properly. It’s important he stays hydrated so he doesn’t have another episode like this.

Theres plenty of people on here from the UK

I agree with Jersey, go easy on the fruit, and dont feed pellet mixes. Just plain timothy pellets, and fresh green veggies, like romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley, stuff like that. Too much sugar could cause his tummy to shut down again!

How much of hte pellet mix are you feeding per day? 2 bowls? That really is far too much for an adult bunny, even if it were just plain pellets. My boy Moose, at 4lbs, gets only a quarter cup a day, and I’m still lowering his daily amount.
