I’m getting worried about my bun.  He is sitting in a corner that he usually doesn’t go in and not moving around much or eating.  He ate the hay I put out for him overnight and had a treat this morning but other than that, hasn’t eaten his morning greens or anything else – he’s always been a good eater.  He won’t touch his greens, hay, pellets – even turned down all his favorite treats.  He was playing this morning so I didn’t notice anything wrong until about 3 or 4 hours ago.  I’m going to try simethicane in case it’s gas – I’m going to run out and pick up some right now.  Other than that and some belly rubs, can anyone recommend anything else?  Am I being a worrywart?

also check his litterbox if he’s been pooping.make sure you have water too so he wont be dehydrated.

If he’s acting off, it would be a good idea to make a vet appointment, as bunnies don’t change habits unless something IS off. Try the simethicone, check his litter box, and call the vet. Better to be safe than sorry!

Definitely if you are worried, take him to the vet. He could be off due to a number of things and a physical examination would be a good idea. Simethicone won’t hurt, but it’s not a cure for everything.

You do not sound like a worry wart. You sound observant…and with rabbit health that is vital. It’s a bit late now so I am figuring that either the simethicone and massage helped or you went to the vet.

Yay, he’s eating again! I gave him a dose of simethicone and massaged his belly – what really scared me was that he didn’t fight me when I picked him up. As with most rabbits, he absolutely hates being picked up! I went out for a while and when I got back, he was up & about and had eaten some of his greens. I gave him another dose (this time he gave me a hard time when I went to pick him up so that was a good sign!) and he’s eating somewhat but definitely not as well as before. He had a big poop last night (what a relief!) but some of it was soft/abnormal. But he pooped regular this morning so that’s good. I’m trying to encourage him to eat more hay and pellets (which normally he loves) but at least I’m not in a total panic like I was yesterday. His rabbit-specialist vet is out of town until Tuesday and the backup vet was also unavailable. I’m hoping that he’ll continue to do better. Thanks for all the advice & support!

glad to hear he’s doing better.
