I took Pepe in yesterday for his molar trim – it seems we are going to have to do this every 5 weeks. I don’t know if you remember his last dental trim episode but it took us weeks to get him to eat after the vet decided she had to do the very aggressive trims for him no matter what. I think we know what we have to do from now on for him but I would still like some vibes that he starts eating with no problems this go round.
The vet and I pretty much decided that 5 weeks is the most we can go for his trims. His teeth just get uneven without the trims. He starts getting poopy butt and becoming aggressive and drinking alot of water – those are the signs that I’m starting to see. I’d love to go longer but that’s not going to happen I guess.
So vibes this go round for Pepe to start eating very quickly after this trim.
aaawww poor Pepe. Since I have probably spent more time than most people in the dentist chair, I send loads and loads of (((((((teethy healing vibes for Pepe)))) and (((comfort bunnymum vibes for you)))))
Aggressive dental trims? Poor Pepe! I would get cranky too from any aggressive dental procedure… Vibes! Maybe he will need extra pampering from you again after, and the dill noms too.
Good thing we can’t stay mad at these fluffy little monsters! Quick recovery vibes for Pepe!
(((((((((pepe))))))))) poor guy havin to see the dentist so often… definitely the lesser of 2 evils tho! he’s lucky to have a sarita to look out for him
vibes for sailing thru this time!
Vibes for Pepe!!
Poor Pepe. How often did you have to do it before? And why are his teeth suddenly getting uneven more quickly?
I hope he will recover fast! Once he is eating again, make sure he gets veggies with a high level of silicate, such as broccoli, bean sprouts, cabbage et.c.
Poor Pepe! (((Many healing dental vibes))) Eat Pepe eat!![]()
Oh Pepe… hang in there buddy!
(((Vibes!)))
{{{{{{{{{{Pepe}}}}}}}} You gotta eat little man!!!
((((Pepe)))) Eat your heart out!
((((Vibes)))) Gotta love going to the orthodontist for 8 years…. I UNDERSTAND YOU PEPE!!! *hugs* and *more vibes*
There are many vibes here for Pepe… I hope they are working. How is the little dental patient?
Well, he’s not eating yet but he’s trying. I’m hoping that by tomorrow he should be eating.
Karla, the vet says he just has weird rigid teeth. And they grow weird. For some reason they don’t grow in even. The prior dental trim she said he just had some very minor points so she did a less aggressive trim but then he just wouldn’t eat – we tried different things for a few weeks then the vet decided to go back into his mouth and trim his teeth again and that is what the problem is. The dental vet did a ton of x-rays and said he had slight malocclusion.
I can’t believe it’s that time again already. Thanks for the update. Continued (((vibes))) for the boy.
I’m being cautiously optimistic – he seems to actually be eating! Even those dang pellets he likes that I wish he wouldn’t eat and his greens…just wish I could get him to eat the hay. I threatened him with braces if he didn’t eat the hay – that didn’t work!
eat your hay, Pepe! What about the hay pellets, sarita, the ones by Sterret Bros. (I know I am a broken record)?
This is very good Sarita!
How does he do with pain meds? Do they depress his appetite?
You know, it ran thru my mind last time that the presence of the rabbit you were bun sitting might have factored into Pepe’s delay to the norm. He is pretty attached to you isn’t he? Perhaps this time round he’s satisfied he’s getting your 100% attention. ;o)
More than likely it was more to do with pain though. I’m happy to hear this may not be a repeat of previous long recovery times.
That is great news, Sarita!
How is Pepe doing now?
And off topic…. how do you pronounce his name… Like “pay-pay”?
Healthy vibes for dear Pepe! ((((((((((((Pepe))))))))))))))))) I’m thinking it’s about time for another trim for Mimzy too…just hate the thought of it. >.<
Hope all is well! ![]()

How is Pepe doing now?And off topic…. how do you pronounce his name… Like “pay-pay”?
In my head, I pronounce it Pay-pee ![]()
And yes, please provide us with an update!
It’s pronounced “Peppy” and by the way, I didn’t name him LOL. I’m not sure why they named him this either.
Pepe is doing well! He seems to actually be eating more greens – now if I can just get him to eat more hay!
Thank you for all the vibes and the update requests.
Continued vibes!
Yea Peppy, Pepe, Paype!! Eat! Eat! Eat!
Peepi’s name is always mispronounced as Peppy when he goes to the vets.
Get getting better Pepe!
