What’s the strangest food your buns have ever been addicted to?

The last two weeks Toby will do anything to sneak into the kitchen and get to the cat dishes. After I yelled at him the first time, he now runs in and grabs a piece of Purina One for Urinary Tract  Health and sprints back to the bunny room. Is he trying to tell me something? I’ve even caught him sniffing the plate of Katie’s Fancy Feast….eau

I say he is just greedy and anything will do. I was mortified when Lint ate a dog kibble. I never let that happen again. I was so worried I called the vet.
Some lagomorphs will eat meat but only in times of extreme food scarciity.

Eddie will eat just about anything – including tape. To the point where he’d sit and strip pieces of tape off boxes, so I had to make sure to take all the labels off.

He did try to steal a chicken nugget once. Snatched it right off my plate. To which I shrieked “Eddie! You’re not a carnivore!” literally. I will never forget it. LOL It was the store bought kind, so I think he was attracted to the breading or barbecue sauce. They are always thinking they need my food too. Usually if I just let them smell what I’m eating, they decide they don’t want it after all and will leave me alone. haha I’ve also let him have bits of the fried wonton crispy part. (Yes, I know this is probably why he has poopy butt issues and have stopped all non-rabbit foods. lol)

Jersey seems to be attracted to tuna. And lately chips (ie, crisps) Maybe it’s the crinkling bag though.

Griffin got into the bag of potatos once and ate about a Tablespoon of raw potato- and that is weird.  None of the other rabbits or even the dogs will try to eat the potatos- but we have since moved the bag so he cannot get to them.

jersey girl:  Any form of “crinkle” & mine come running.  I can’t eat fruit & salad around my bunz and no meats or dairy products around my cat.  The bunz haven’t got into anything weird, but lucy ate broccoli with me the other night…she’s getting old and just wants whatever we’re eating.

Otto is obsessed with glossy magazines. I give him all sorts of phone books and cardboard, but if he finds a rogue issue of Wine Spectator within his reach he gets so excited. He’ll tear off strips and suck them down like spaghetti. I used to store current issues under the coffee table, but I can’t because he kept stealing them.

I think Sammy ate my brother. I used to have two.

(Sorry. Couldn’t resist. I’m getting goofy tonight.)

Poster board was my girlbun’s favorite treat.

He doesn’t eat them, but Zeus goes crazy for chewing up my flipflops.

I think he likes that foamy texture that flipflops are made out of.

My buns always try to get hold of the swiffer cloths I use to clean their pens with. But the only thing odd I’ve ever seen one of them almost ingest was a bath towel I’d draped over Pip’s cage to give her a sense of safety. She darn near choked on the threads she’d torn off…scared me to death.

They also regularly chew up their litter boxes…sometimes I don’t find all the bits. Plastic hay bags are fair game if I don’t shift them quickly.

Who was the BB’er whose bun ran off with the lemon until it bit into it and then started thumping at how sour it was?
