Today I tried giving Chloe some frozen grapes because of the heat wave. she ignored them. I thought “Ok well she just dose not like them. Lets try something else.” I tried bananas and then celery, again, she ignored them. Didn’t even go near the bowl.

What would be a good way to introduce her to new food so she at least try’s it.

My bunny was like this too when I first introduced him to a carrot! I find it helps to cut the food up to help expose the ‘scent’ if that makes sense. I also am very persistent and keep putting it in front of his face until he gets annoyed and grabs it to throw it away. He then realized it actually tasted good and was food! Carrots are now his favourite thing haha Also if you just give her some everyday she will soon get curious and eventually take a nibble.

Sometimes you’ll find that a bunny will not be interested, but if you leave it there, they’ll try it later and like it. So I wouldn’t right something new off unless you have left it there for at least a few hours (and even overnight if it is something that can be left for that long)

Or try slicing the fruit or veggie a little, so the bunny can smell it?

I recently gave my bunny a strawberry, I cut it open a little so she could catch a whiff of it and she ate it up

Some bunnies just don’t like certain things.. mine detests carrots. Yes, I said carrots.

I noticed that after the pellet intake is decrased, bunnies will often be more open to trying new things..

Frozen foods and icy cold water isn’t always a good idea for their tummies, either. If you are trying to cool down your bunny, giving food at regular room or fridge temperature (grapes for example) but cooling the bunny off externally can be a better way to go. You can take a cold damp washcloth, wring it out thoroughly, and wrap it around both ears like a turban. Also, a frozen small coke bottle laid on its side in the cage is cool for bun to lie next to. They lick the condensation on it too. I would just wash favorite foods in cold water and introduce new foods in the normal, gradual way.
