  So we have two bunnies who love hanging in our yard since about a month ago and I got some close up pics tonight… We’ve seen one laying out in the yard too…I had no idea they’d let themselves be so vulnerable and out in the open! Anyhow, I wanted to share the pics, I was pretty shocked! They must know they are in good company here…
  
  Meet Petey or Cotton, we aren’t sure which one this is… but yes we named them haha
  
  I had to shrink the file size, so the pics aren’t as clear, but you get the point…

  Very cute! I see wild bunnies maybe once or twice a year but that is usually running away from something.

  I have always seen bunnies where I live (NJ), but they are always running away, that’s why I couldn’t help but take some pictures! Later on last night, two of them were eating in the grass about a foot from our back door! And they even saw us looking at them, and of course I was talking to one…haha. But they just looked at us, didn’t seem to mind.
  
  Then one was laying out right next to our grill right on our patio (the pic I posted was from him sitting at the back of our yard much farther away…) I guess they’ve realized there aren’t any dogs, cats, or other scary animals in our yard (and it’s fenced in) so maybe they trust it’s safe. Fine with me, I love seeing them … and yes a binky would be incredible to see! They often have the company of a couple robins while they’re out there too. I’ve always hated our backyard…it needs a lot of work and we’ve only lived there a few years so we never did anything to it…but I guess it’s serving it’s purpose for the wildlife in our area lol.

  As Petzy mentioned, the harlequin is a feral bunny, so probably was a released baby house bunny or born to a former pet and grew up in the wild. The other is a wild bunny. I think if the harlequin was a pet that was released not long ago, he’s more likely to want to be near people. He is a beauty, and they both find safe haven in your yard.

  Oh those are so cute! We recently “adopted” a wild bunny in our yard. He/She keeps laying down between the oriental grass and tree (probably a good hiding place to relax). The few days it goes in it’s spot and lays there for hours (yesterday from morning until 5:30 it was there). I actually saw the wild bunny flop over, oh it was so cute!! When we first saw it was flopped over I thought maybe it had died so I went out to make sure it was ok. I got about a foot away from it and the bunny popped it’s head up and hopped off a little and I went around the tree and it took off.

  Aww We don’t have wild bunnies in Manchvegas, but up at my grandpa’s house in Canada they’re everywhere! They like to hang out in the barn. They eat my grandpa’s hay and he gets so mad! Lol but he grows his own hay..And they also eat the horses grain. They scare the crap out of the horses. I hate seeing the wild bunnies though because there are a lot of bear, fox’s, moose, all kinds of wildlife and I get sad if I don’t see the bunny for a few days

  We have had a bunny or two near our house since we moved in, there are lots around the neighborhood. The other day we took a walk and counted about 12 in different yards. Here is a pic we caught of a meeting they were having in the backyard. There are 6 in the picture, but a 7th joined them later! :0)
