Pixie now has the roam of the house….( I need to post pics she is a riot) anyway I put apple cider vinegar in the dogs water as it is good for them. Pixie has been drinking out of their water here and there. Not all of the time. Could the cider vinegar be bad for her?? I put a capful in their medium size bowl…

This is the second time I’ve heard about apple cider vinegar in water. What is the basis for doing this? Do you have any articles or anything you can share b/c I don’t know anything about that.

For rabbits, it’s very, very important they only have fresh, plain water. So if you continue to put vinegar in your dogs’ water, you’ll have to relocate it to somewhere she can’t reach it.

By adding vinegar to a dogs water you are changing the PH of the urine- and I do not understand why you would want to do that if the dog is not having any urinary issues- as that will likely instigate urinary issues.  Unless you are doing the PH testing that is recommended…….

But I go with the theory- if it is not broke- don’t fix it.

As opposed to using ACV to treat symptoms I would rather find out what is causing any of the issues- skin problems, etc- and treat that directly.
