She looks more like a Plum (not Plumeria though) because she’s so round and cute than Trudi. I kind of like Plum Bun, it’s original.

Well Plum Bun is more cool than Trudi in my opinion. Of course I have a rabbits named Mango, Peaches, Peppermint and Toffee, I guess I just like food.

Since you are calling her Plum Bun which reminds me of Plum Wine you could call her Ume – I looked up the name for Japanese plum wine and it’s Umeshu which sounds a little hard to say. Ume is some kind of Asian plum.

Well she’ll always be Plum Bun to me.

Hang out on the floor with her just playing around, then call her Trudy. See how she responds. You can try calling her Plum, just for comparison of reactions to a new name. Then just call Bun.

I’m saying this because I had a hard time deciding on Spockie’s name, but when my nephews named him, then called him for the first time, he ran right over. It was so cute, and he always knew his name. (Which is actually J. S. Spock, and he knew his whole name, too. Johann Sebastian Spock.)

i would definetly agree with trying to call her the different names. when naming lunar , back when he was thought to be a girl, i was going to name him celest and everytime i called the name, would thump the foot so i tried luna and no thump but now that he is a he…it was changed to lunar and he seems to like it still.

they have their own ways of telling you their name!

I like it.  Trudi with Attitude.  At the end of the day it’s gotta be something you think fits and she likes of course.
You could compromise between Trudi and Plum Bun and go for Tutti Frutti !

I agree with Sarita, I like Plum Bun! (I’ll probably offend an entire group of people with my next remark… lol) but there’s something about her that makes me think “Oriental”, so I think Plum is a great name that fits her. She doesn’t look like a Trudi to me.

I think that if her official name were Trudi, then bun, Plum, and Plum Bun would be fine nicknames.

I call Tank bunbun, and piggy, and brat, and ingrate all the time. None of those are really his name. His name is Main Tank (frequently shortened to Tank or mt, depending on who I am talking to) but… you get the idea (;
