I have not heard about any issues at all- and I do feed grapes to my parrots- and bunnies can have grapes and raisins is small amount- I have never fed frozen.  I do not give my bunnies raisins or grapes because I have nosey dogs- so I give them craisins instead which bunnies love and are OK for dogs.

Graps and raisins are fine for bunnies Frozen halves are nice for hot summer days as a treat for hungry hot bunbuns.

Mmmm… grapes! Definitely a favorite in my house! The most you should probably give in a day is two grapes, and that is without any other treats the whole day.

I have heard the thing about grapes being bad for dogs, but I always thought it was because they would swallow them whole and choke. It could be a specific thing for dogs, like chocolate being very dangerous for them.

Grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs- and they are not exactly sure why.  Toxicity has been reported in eating grapes from the store and grapes off the vine (home grown) and also raisins- so they have not been able to pinpoint a certain grape, fertilizer or common factor in the toxic poisoning other than it was grapes or raisins.  Sometimes it can be a small amount that causes a reaction but sometimes it is from gorging on grapes/raisins.  So the recommendation has been to avoid grapes/raisins for dogs.

This is a good thing to keep in mind for people in “mixed species” households. If your rabbits are enjoying grapes/raisins where your dog could potentially get to them, that might not be a great idea for a treat.

As long as the doggies aren’t allowed to get near the rabbits while they eat grapes, grapes/raisins are a perfectly fine treat for bunnies.

Grapes actually beat out banana as a preferred treat in our house!

We also freeze chunks of pineapple for hot days!
